changing RunAS on synology

I just got a synology and installed SAB, first thing. Runs great. Except it runas as the sc-sabnzbd account. I'd like it to run as my generic "xxx" account.

I don't see a line in

Code: Select all

/var/packages/sabnzbd/scripts/start-stop-status
to change the user. Am I missing this obvious thing?

missing mobile skin?

I noticed that there is no more mobile skin. How can I install one? When I try via apt-get, it removes SAB completely and just installs the skin

Re: No auto update in Ubuntu server

How easy is it to switch over to your repository?

I'm suprised that a new version doesn't warrant an official channel release

No auto update in Ubuntu server

I'm just fine and happy on 0.7.16. But I know the newest versions are out. My SAB hasn't prompted to update either from within SAB, (as it had for previous ipdates) or from apt-get.

I'm running Ununtu Server 14.0.4 LTS

Re: irregular folder deletions - permissions?

Every time I go there, they refer me to here or SB's forums, since they don't create the apps.

Ignoring the fact that its a synology, and its just a linux based install...how would I change the permissions?

What about the permissions on the folders? What should they be?

irregular folder deletions - permissions?

I feel this is a permissions issue, but I'm not a linux expert, so I'm not sure where to look. I am running SAB and Sickbeard on a Synology device. Everything is working fine for the most part, except sometimes I'll find that sometimes the TV folder under my complete folder will leave folders behind...

SAB Lite?

I'm not a developer, so I'm talking out of my league here, but I was wondering if there's an option or an idea for SABNZBD+ lite? I'm on a Synology and I've observed slower download times. I tried NZBGet and it had much faster download times. But NZBGet has a much crappier interface, and I'm sure lo...

Re: Synology Post Processing - Sickbeard

Where did you locate the Sickbeard post processing scripts? I've installed and rebooted twice now and can't find them anywhere.

Re: Sabnzb PAUSING for no reason!!?!?!

I actually had the same issue. I was waiting for something to download and discovered that SAB was paused for some reason. It's happened at least twice now. I believe something related to an unpacking/moving error.

But like you, I'm stumped.

Re: Help with Sabnzbd starting as a service

Found the problem.
I shouldn't have set Sabnzbd binary newsreader service to Delayed. Once I set it Automatic, it worked like a charm.

Help with Sabnzbd starting as a service

I have a family shared computer that I want to migrate my Sabnzbd too. I follow the instructions to install as a service, but I found that sabnzb will not work unless a user logs in. (even a limited user) I installed the following way: 1. Installed Sabnzbd 2. Copied config file to c:\program files (...

Re: Trying to fetch NZB

For me, I worked through the issues. I posted on each board to see if others were having the issue. For me, restarting SABNZB and reverting SABNZB to a previous version did not correct the problem. No one else on the NZBmatrix was having the issue. I tried the steps mentioned on the forum, which sai...

Re: Trying to fetch NZB

As I've learned from this experience, its most likely a personal issue, not a SABNZB, or NZBMatrix issue. Their systems are working ok, as is SAB. But by all means, explore.

Re: Trying to fetch NZB

OK. This is insane. My system rebooted last night (Windows Updates), so on a whim before I did anything, I tried one more time.
*BAM* Everything is working.

What a stupid issue..something Windows related. Shocker. Consider it closed.

Re: Trying to fetch NZB

I've restarted, even reverted to a previous version. I suppose I'll go uninstall and start from scratch.
