Re: How to install SABnzbd on Debian 8 for multiple users

Local ip: it says the name on the certificate doesn't match the name of the site, which is correct and by design and also the reason why I use nat reflection to connect to SABnzbd from within my own network (meaning that I type in my domain name instead of my server's local ip address). Let's Encryp...

How to install SABnzbd on Debian 8 for multiple users

Hi, I wrote a howto for installing SABnzbd on Debian 8 for multiple users using SABnzbd's source, not the package. It also covers setting up SSL connections with Let's Encrypt. I'm not sure I covered all topics and did everything right but for me this works and I embrace feedback and constructive cr...

Re: Daemon won't start after enabled HTTPS

I'm going to try and figure it out; I hope you don't mind my stealing your topic.

It works if I copy my bought (i.e. non-self-signed) certificate files over the stock files. I think it's a permissions issue; will post back if I found a solution.

Re: Daemon won't start after enabled HTTPS

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm running into the same problem. Using bought certificates which work fine on my web server.

How to start multiple profiles at boot

How can I have multiple profiles (3 users so 3 ini files) start at boot in Ubuntu 12.04?

I know I can start a specific profile by doing sabnzbdplus --config-file /home/user/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini but I'd like to start three of those. In /etc/default/sabnzbdplus I can enter only one profile.

Re: should i get hp microserver

I'm using its predecessor, the N36L and I haven't regretted it yet. Put enough memory into it and it'll make you happy.

Re: Slow down disk usage par2

I downloaded it, set it up and it solved the problem Xtenzion described. I set BES to watch c:\program files\SABnzbd\win\unrar.\x64\UnRAR.exe and limit that process to -80%, that is, it caps it at 20% of its normal use. Unpacking is now slower, I'd say indeed about five times slower, but I don't min...

Re: _UNPACK_ folder not deleted

Thanks for your answer, shypike. I considered disabling folder renaming, but how would I know if the unpacking failed or completed? (Apart from having the system send an e-mail.)

/edit
Ah, nevermind. That's a stupid question. Thanks!

_UNPACK_ folder not deleted

Running SABnzbd 0.7.0Beta7 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit. Ever since upgrading to the 0.7.0 betas SABnzbd leaves _UNPACK_ folders after succesfully downloading and extracting files. Everything works fine and a new folder is created with the correct name but the _UNPACK_<downloadname> folder is not...

Re: Looking for recomendations for my HP ProLiant N40L

Hi Drew, as a rule of thumb, go with what you know best. I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 on the HP ProLiant N36L. I take it the N40L also has four hdd slots and one dvd drive slot. What I did was install the os on the disk that came with the machine but connected that disk to the on-board sata po...

I found a solution to my problem. In Windows Task Manager, go to View > Select Columns and check 'Command Line'.

Re: Pass unrar parameters in Windows

Unrar also has a sleep parameter. I'd like to be able to try it. Are there any plans to implement passing unar parameters through SABnzbd?

Pass unrar parameters in Windows

Hi, I'm running SABnzbd 0.6.14 on Windows Server 2008R2 64bit. I read about Ionice parameters for those running Linux, but is it also possible to pass unrar parameters on Windows? Specifically, I would like to drastically lower unrar's process priority which is possible (I think) when passing ri1 as...

Think I'll try unpacking to a big usb key then. I'll let you know how that works out. Thanks for your time.
