Re: SAB not remembering the hostname settings
Aha. It takes Tailscale a minute to start up after reboot and bind to the host, so I guess that's when SAB fails. How about: you delay the startup of SABnzbd. Re: Using SAB for many years until updating on May 23. Now it wont work
So solve that. Do you know how to do that? sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade apt search cheroot | grep python and then probably sudo apt install python3-cheroot BTW: python 3.8 had end of full support 2021-05-03, and since then only receives security patches (until 2024-10). So it might there is no u...

Re: External Access not resolving, other servers working...
BTW: you have IPv6, haven't you? You can check via SABnzbd -> Wrench -> Status.
Advantage of IPv6: no NAT, no hairpinning. Disadvantage: not reachable from IPv4-only connections.
But if you use Dyndns, worth configuring

Re: External Access not resolving, other servers working...
> However, trying to access it on the external address pings out ("This site can't be reached" - connection timeout), How do you do that? From your LAN? If so, that's risky (needs hair pinning in your router). So do this: use your phone, turn off Wifi, and then try to access SABnzbd on you...

That is not valid python code.
Make sure you can run the python code from CLI before going further

Re: Enabling SSL is slowing down downloads significantly!
> I use a shared hosting provider (seedhost.eu specifically) A, a shared account? And "seed" makes me think it's a seedbox. So no VM, but sharing, and maybe limiting CPU and disk speed. Quite slow speed for an NVMe. My i3 laptop with NVMe has 558.9 MB/s, as reported by SABnzbd. And more mo...

Re: Enabling SSL is slowing down downloads significantly!
@cyxis, out of curiosity & trying to understand your statistics: Is this SABnzbd straight on OS (Linux) straight on Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 5220R? Or is there a layer like VM, VPS or docker involved? Your Internet speed is 2553.76 Mbps: is this on a home connection (XGSPON?), or something in a dat...
