I think astrojams is in the wrong thread. I believe he's thinking of nzbdstatus.

Re: using nice for unrar, par2...
On my NAS, the par and unrar thread pretty much stops if the machine is still downloading. In other words, I have the opposite experience to you!

Re: 0.34 bug
Trunk = 0.4.0 branches/sabnzbd-0.3.x = 0.3.4 Can you please verify which one of these you are using. Do you have TV Folder sorting enabled? How are you adding your downloads, newzbin or by nzb file. Trunk - 0.40. If I rename TV to TVx, 0.31 will create "TV" and 0.40 will create "tv&q...

Re: 0.34 bug
P.S. I turned on the TV series folder creating thing, so that may be related.

Doesn't happen with 0.31. I have both versions installed on the same machine.

0.40 TV folder sorting name issue
Not sure if you really want to see this report, but may be of use. I'm running the trunk from the SVN on one of my machines. The other two are running 0.31. 0.34, when it creates a group folder like "TV" creates it as "tv" (lower case). On my Linux NAS, this then creates a separa...

Re: is there a way to optimize and/or speed up SABnzbd+?
25mbit + 1.5GHz + 1GB RAM is not a good config to run SAB. I'd addd more RAM and/or use a faster CPU or put up with the fact that the machine can't cope. That's the spec I used to use to download (with 17mbps throughput available to me, it was struggling) and I'm now using a 2GHz Core 2 Duo with 2GB...

Re: Adding an unrar password to an item in the queue
switch wrote: Just a javascript prompt() on the queue page will be pretty easy. My main concern is handling multiple rar sets within an nzb, and whether to pass the password to everyone of them or only when one fails for no password.
Fair point, but all the passworded posts I've used have one rar set.

Another idea:
Add an option to the post-process menu:
-
R
U
D
P
When selected, P opens a dialog to enter password.

Re: Adding an unrar password to an item in the queue
Click on post in queue, list of files appears. In list is an option to add the password.
That way you wouldn't have to change the look of the queue.

Adding an unrar password to an item in the queue
Some posts have password protected rars. It would be nice to be able to click a post in the queue and specify the password needed to unpack the post.

Re: 0.3.3 Doesn't unpack (Linux)
Ok, did you change "Post-process only verified jobs:" under config>switched at all? (safe_postproc in ini) Should be set to No (0) by default. If you changed it, then try again with it set to "No". If not I'll maybe send you a custom 0.3.3 with more logging. Aha! Well, of course...
