Would it be possible to implement an nfo viewer?
Maybe have a button next to the 'view report' icon, and possibly popup like the current newzbin feature.
Perhaps something like http://nfo.corephp.co.uk/

I don't quite understand the need, as SABnzbd does not find NZB (and NFO) files for you.
So before download, you look for NFO files on newzbin or whatever other tracking site you use.
After download, you can use Windows explorer to look at the NFO's.
When do you think you will use an internal NFO viewer in SABnzbd?

I feel it would be a more convenient way to access the nfo rather than having to deal with one located in a folder full of files.

Another option I have wanted to see for a while now is an ability to open the dir containing the files of a specific download, like Utorrent's 'open containing folder.' This would be particularly useful in my case as I download directly to an external server and it usually takes several mouse clicks before I eventually get to the download itself.

Just my thoughts on an otherwise great tool.

why would you still want to see the nfo ? you saw before you downloaded.

The go into folder would indeed be a nice option.
But not sure if python can do that

Nice idea, good one for a later release.

For me it wouldn't work, since my own post-post-processing script moves the jobs to other folders that SAB doesn't know about.

Ah yeah, I still have to set up a post-post-processing script, that would surely keep me better organized :))

Thanks for listening guys, and merry christmas to you and the rest of the SABnzbd team :)

I was going to implement this with Nova/Plush, but it just didn't seem necessary.

I like the "open containing folder" idea, but fact of the matter is, your OS should give you tons of shortcuts to effectively achieve the same thing.

For instance, if you download a bunch of music, hopefully your music player will see the new files without needing to open them up individually every time something completes.

            Hi,

not every os has GUI. installing shortcuts like that in plush, while they may seem superfluous, are actually very handy to those without GUIs.

Scratch that, oses without gui can't access the directories like that (without some form of java in the browser, which is probably beyond the scope of this project)
