I'm encountering very strange behaviour on my residential network. For some reason SABnzb d does not download.
I have tried it on 4 computers in total. It works fine on the two that have different connections to the internet, but the two on my capped ressidential network don't work.
The strange thing is its not like a lot of P2P protocols where the admins have done their best to block it as Grabit (another usenet client) will happily use the full 60kb/s (shocking I know) alotted to me.. but strangely SABnzbd doesn't. I have no idea why, it says it is downloading at arround 2 kb/s but it never actually downloads anything and the connections keep timing out (even with 120 seconds - the sane as grabit timeout time). If anyone could shed any light on this Id really appriciate it.
Mark

Does Grabit work on the same interface with the Usenet server hostname or IP address?
Have you tried the numerical IP address of the Usenet server?

The INFO messages mean nothing. In 0.3.0 you will only see them if you out the logging level to 3.
I assume that both the old and the new version of SABnzbd don't work?
Couple of std questions:
Which operating system?
Which versions of SABnzbd are you trying?
Do you use a software firewall (except for the std Windows one) and which one?
Do you have multiple network interfaces on one computer?
Can you post the output of the command (or email it to me if you prefer that).
ipconfig /all
I'm very interested in your results.

OS: XP
I have tried SadNZBd the latest version and the latest pre release version of plus
To check it wasn't the firewall messing around I have tried disabling it
One of my computers has two network interfaces.... it connects directly to my shared connection and then another computer connects to that computer. It doesn't work on either computer and I have had no problems with any other software with my set up.
I'll email you ipconfig results for both computers

Not enough information to reproduce this problem on our systems.
So, the current state is that we are stuck.
