Every download unpack failing

Post by sbfoo »

For the last 2 and a half weeks I have not been able to get 1 successful download unpacked. At first I had thought it was my usenet account. After installing nzbget and trying downloads I found that everything is fine.

Here is what sab is giving me when I click on the failed download:

Completed 2015-06-29 10:13:20 AM
Name File Name Removed for Privacy - Unpacking failed, an expected file was not unpacked
Size 1.2 GB
Status Failed
Category tv
Path \\FREENAS\Nas Storage\TV\_FAILED_Folder Name of File
Download Downloaded in 2 minutes 57 seconds at an average of 6.8 MB/s
Source https://www.oznzb.com/getnzb/d2002be2c6 ... a4d83b63ee
Unpack Unpacking failed, these file(s) are missing:
file.name.removed.for.privacy.mkv
Repair [file.name.remove.for.privacy] Quick Check OK

This is happening with every single file that is downloaded.

Is what is unpack usable?
Is the reported file actually missing?
(Look in the __unpack__title folder).

The unpack folder is empty but if I download it via nzbget the file is not missing after unpack.

What if you unpack the RAR files manually?
There's a problem that on some platforms SABnzbd cannot match the unpacked
files with the names inside the RAR files (nzbget probably doesn't check).
There's option to disable the check altogether: Config->Check result of unpacking

Nothing special about your sample, it downloads and unpacks fine.
On which operating system do you run SABnzbd?

Im running on windows. This is definitely a SAB issue. It is downloading files just fine. The problem is with the extraction process. It is showing it successfully extracted the files but it says 0 files were extracted. Then in the folder where the downloaded rar files are at all the downloaded files are sitting there with no extracted file. I manually extract them fine.

Please check the "Samples" option in Config->Options.
Disable it.

The only sample option I could find was under Config->switches->post processing then Ignore samples. I set it to OFF It was set to Do not download. Other than that I have no idea where Config->Options is located?

You're right, it's Config->Switches. Sorry.
You found the right setting. "Do not download" is a dangerous setting.
Even "Delete after dwonload" is tricky, because currently it's a bit too eager to delete files.
Keep it off.
