Hello,
I've been using SABnzbd with Sick Beard for years now, and have recently switched to using GingaDaddy as my indexer. I signed up for VIP with GingaDaddy, and it worked perfectly for a couple weeks. I typically manually download the nzb file from the indexer, where it goes to the watched folder for SABnzbd, which picks it up, deletes it, downloads it, and auto processes to Sick Beard. Everything was working wonderfully, until randomly in the middle of doing some searching on GingaDaddy, SABnzbd stopped downloading. It would seem that the nzb file is being downloaded properly, put into the watched folder, SABnzbd picks up the nzb file from the watched folder, (as the nzb files are being deleted within seconds), but then nothing appears in the queue.
I've read all kind of manuals and checked everything I could possibly think of, so am hoping that someone might be able to help me out! I'm not getting any warnings from SABnzbd, and my connection to my server (Astraweb) keeps saying that it's successful. I've restarted everything I can possibly think of, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated. If any more information is necessary or useful, please let me know and I would be happy to provide it!
Thanks so much!
- Vanessa

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
Have you tried a "Queue Repair" in the Status->Repair page?
Do you have a pre-queue script installed (if you don't know what this is, never mind)?
Does adding NZB files manually in the watched folder help?

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
I'm pretty sure I did a Queue Repair previously when I was troubleshooting, but for good measure, did it again now. Had one random thing from 2012 start downloading, which was successfully completed, but nothing that I've tried to add recently.
I don't have any pre-queue scripts installed, so don't think that's a potential problem.
I tried adding nzb files manually into the watched folder again, and still no success. Even when I add them manually, they're being deleted within 5 seconds, so I can tell that they're being picked up.
Thanks so much for your suggestions! Any other info I can provide or suggestions of things to try?
Cheers,
Vanessa

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
Can you check the content of the NZB files?
The start should be something like this:
and it should end with this:
The start should be something like this:
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?>
<!DOCTYPE nzb PUBLIC "-//newzBin//DTD NZB 1.0//EN" "http://www.nzbindex.com/nzb-1.0.dtd">

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
Just checked, and I believe everything is accurate:
The beginning:
<nzb xmlns="http://www.newzbin.com/DTD/2003/nzb">
..and then it starts into segmenting.
And the end:
</segments>
</file>
<!--NZB Generated at GingaDADDY.com - The DADDY of NZB Sites!-->
</nzb>
I've tried multiple different nzbs from different sites, and still no luck with any. Thanks so much for the help so far!

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
What happens if you upload using the Add NZB dialog ?
Is the watched folder a network share?

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
When I use the Add NZB dialog, it does nothing. I select the file, click upload, it looks like it's processing, and then it just stops and the dialog window becomes blank again.
The watched folder isn't a network share.
Thanks so much!

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
Is SABnzbd actually running?
Sounds like a dumb question, but I've made that mistake more than once.
Also you can set logging to "Debug" on the Status page.
Try to load an NZB and then download the log file from the Status page.
Open it with a text editor and look for error messages at the end.

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
Haha, it's definitely running. I've restarted enough times to make sure of it
I tried to load a random nzb, and here's the log (after I set it to debug):

so, yes, it's the pre-queue script sabToSickBeard.exe. Solve that.Pre-Q refuses ...
... removed ...
Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
In Config->switches there is an option called pre-queue script.
It should be empty and definitely not contain the SabToSickBeard script.

Re: nzb's not appearing in queue
Fantastic - works perfectly!! Definitely should have caught that earlier when you asked about pre-queue scripts...didn't know I had any running, though!
Thanks so much for all your help! Very much appreciated.
