No NZB file will be accepted!

Postby sueppchen » April 17th, 2012, 9:48 am

Hi,

i´m using sabnzbdplus for years without trouble. Since a few days every download is aborted by "URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file". I try to fetch the nzbs from nzbindex.com. To make sure the NZBs of nzbindex.com are not broken I have tried other search engines without success. The "Unusable NZB file"-problem is permanently. By tracing the connection I can see proper retrieved NZBs.. uploading NZBs instead of using the fetch mechanism results in an empty queue without error message. Also removig a bunch of files at ~/.sabnzbdplus/, repairing the queue und the restart of sabnzbdplus doesnt help. :-( I increased the log_level upto 2 but the log contains no suspicious messages. The used version is 0.6.15 on debian linux. Is there some known solution?

Regards,

sueppchen

Did you search "URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file" on this forum?

Yes! I read a lot about issues with comments in NZB files, unsupported nzb-search engines and so on but my problem seems to be another. I try to describe three failing user scenarios:

Search & upload of NZBs

1. I visit the free nzb search engine www.nzbindex.nl (binsearch.info and others doesnt work as well)
2. Search, pick and download some generic NZB
3. Open Sabnzbdplus 0.6.15 and try "Add NZB", "Upload"
4. The Queue stays empty. In "Status -> Queue repair" you can find the job as orphaned. There no error message or something else.

Expected and common behavior: Download progress of the job...

Fetching NZBs by URL

1. I visit the free nzb search engine www.nzbindex.nl
2. Search, pick and copy some generic NZB URL
3. Open Sabnzbdplus 0.6.15 and try "Add NZB", "Fetch" the URL
4. The NZB is visible for 1 second in the Queue, than the History shows: "URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file"

Fetching NZBs by RSS
Same error as above for automatic jobs.

Log-Output of Log-Level 2:

Code: Select all
2012-04-17 21:53:19,226::INFO::[__init__:560] Adding some.nzb
2012-04-17 21:53:19,227::INFO::[misc:725] Creating directories: /home/sabnzbd/downloads/incomplete/some.1
2012-04-17 21:54:58,687::INFO::[__init__:560] Adding some.nzb
2012-04-17 21:54:58,687::INFO::[misc:725] Creating directories: /home/sabnzbd/downloads/incomplete/some.2

I'm at a loss. :-(

Problem solved by upgrading my python environment to python2.7_2.7.3~rc2-2. :-)
Issue can be closed.

There are so many Python variants floating around in the Wild West of Linux/Unix.
We cannot test them all.

Completely understandable!

Presumably version 2.7.3~rc2-1. The problem is debian / dependancy related and will be hard to reproduce.
