This is my setting for unwanted extensions:
I ask the download to pause when unwanted extension is detected, and I set "exe, com" as unwanted extensions (as suggested)
In logs, I can see that the unwanted extension was detected correctly:
But, the download still finishes anyway:
This happens every time! Please let me know if you need any more details.

An example NZB file would be useful.

Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
Just sent you a PM with the NZB and the corresponding logs from Sabnzbd. Hope this helps!
Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
Ok, analysis will take a while; I'm travelling now.
Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
The EXE file is in the very last RAR file that is downloaded.
By that time, the pause has no effect any more.
If you would chose "abort" instead of "pause", the job would be aborted.

Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
I see. So, in your opinion, there's no solution that can save me from downloading the entire archive only to find out that it's a fake? The abort will only help in the sense that I'll not need to go to the extracted folder only to find out its a fake. Right?
In my opinion, 80-90% of archives that have EXEs have not paused (meaning they had EXE in the last RAR file). This may be a silly question, but is there a way to download the last RAR file first?

Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
it's my plan to exactly implement that ... :-)
Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
Awesome! Thanks, sander! Looking forward to the fix. I'll be more than happy to beta-test it for you.
Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
FWIW: you can already also do this manually. While in the queue, click on the download, check the bottom rar, and then click on Top.aaloo wrote:This may be a silly question, but is there a way to download the last RAR file first?
So maybe this is a workaround for you as long it's not implemented as an automagic feature.
Re: Unwanted Extensions showing in log, but not pausing
Aaloo: I have the code working for "put last rar after the first rar in the queue". I can make it avaialbe on github as source code ... which is only useful for you if you use Linux. So ... on what platform do you run SABnzbd?
