Hi,
i recently had a defect rar file (part13). Par detects is with 1 block missing (136 blocks are fine). I do have 108 repair blocks. After par tried it to repair it it remains 136 good blocks instead of 137. After some investigation i figured out, that the something.part13 can be repaired by winrar. After winrar repaired it i can successfully re-run par and par repaired it too. Now this file can be recovered back to 137 blocks. I guess winrar repaired a CRC issue with something similar to "rar r filename" (on password protected files a password is required).
Is it possible to implement a "repair rar file" fallback if par could not improve the block count?

WinRAR is a commercial package that is only available for Windows.
We're not going to support that.
In rare cases like you describe, it will remain manual work.
