Not enough repair blocks

Postby malocite » September 5th, 2011, 1:32 pm

Hi,

I've been using Sabnzbd now for some time and I just love it. I've used it in both Linux, and I'm now testing it in Windows however for the past few months I have been having a huge number of Not Enough Repair block problems.

I download my nzbs from nzbmatrix and I use usenetserver.com to download them.

The nzbs that are giving this error range from ones over 200 days to ones that are just a few hours old.

I will email in an NZB I just had trouble with, I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks,

and keep up the great work!

Sorry - should have mentioned the version I'm using. 0.6.8. This also happened in an earlier 0.5 version but I can't recall the number.

A further update - I've just run this through an nzb competion checker, and every single file has the same missing segment. (The first one)

Some Usenet providers erase the first article of each file when they get served with a DMCA notice.

You can pick up a block/fill account from someone like Astraweb for missing atricles. Set it up as '"Backup server" in SAB and it will only be used for your missing articles. Astraweb doesn't seem to have as many DMCA takedown requests.
