Missing option - Config-Folders-Permissions for completed downloads

Post by jerhiggs »

Sabnzbd is unable to copy files over to my synology after downloading - they just sit in the Completed folder.

Research tells me that I need to set the permissions patter for completed files/folders to 755 or 777 using the "Permissions for completed downloads" option under the Config - Folders category. However, I do not see that option available to me. I am on the latest release version 4.3.0 (but I have tried older versions as well with the same results).

Sabnzbd is hosted on a windows server and I am able to get to copy the files to the synology manually - copy/paste.

Why am I missing this option?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Hi and welcome to the forum. :)

I'd guess it's because the filesystem (as-seen by SABnzbd on Windows) doesn't support Unix permissions.

What share protocol are you using? SMB, NFS, etc...
Stuff I like: Apache bash cron DD-WRT Debian DNSMasq Entware FireFox GitHub ImageMagick Kate KDE LibreELEC Netrunner NFS NVIDIA OpenVPN Orvibo-S20 pfSense Python Raspberry-Pi RAID SABnzbd Transmission Usenet VirtualBox Watcher3 XFCE

Also, for it to copy to the Synology you need to set the complete folder to your Synology. Now it's just set to your local drive.
How do you expect it to be moved to the Synology?

Thanks for the "welcome"!

I'm using NFS and the nfs client is installed on the windows server. I can browse out to the synology or map a drive without issues. Is there any way to set permissions with an ini or something?

No, because there's no OS level permissions calls for us to use because you are on Windows.
You probably need to configure this on your nfs client.
