Account Sharing help

Postby BigBasti » April 27th, 2008, 5:34 pm

I share a newshosting account with 2 friends an I think many of the users are doing this.
The Problem is, that I am not allowed to log in from 2 different IPs. Would it be possible
to include a function that I can insert the dyndns address of my friend and sabnzbd checks
if he is using the account and if yes it pauses download.
And as soon as he has finished downloading and his connections are disconected it starts
downloading my files.

Sharing multiple accounts is against the terms of service of Newshosting.

I'm sorry but we cannot help you.

You can write your own end-of-queue script.
With the GNU wget program you can send an API "resume" command (see SABnzbd-Wiki on Automation)
to the other computer and vice versa.

There are lots of news provider nowadays that allow account sharing. At least I know several in Europe. To name a few:

Eweka
Hitnews.eu
Astraweb

Perhaps BigBasti should try one of these. :)
