Curses interface for sabnzbd 0.5

Post by tobiasthecommie »

I have previously made a CLI client for sabnzbd.

http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=3906.0

I have now released a fully feature complete Curses version, although it is in BETA.

The curses client automatically updates the different views, so there is no need for a "watch" command to monitor downloads.

It is a lot simpler and intuitive to use than the CLI client.

NOTE: This program, like the CLI one, is for people who prefer to work from a terminal, if you don't want to use a terminal then you don't want this.

Homepage:

Usage:
http://code.google.com/p/sabcli/wiki/SA ... ursesUsage

The "Usage" page shows all options and actions available in the program, and shows the interface. It isn't screenshots but it looks pretty close to how it is in my terminal.

The Curses version is now out of beta.

The new version has an entirely new interface compared to the old beta interface.

This curses program is very easy, and very intuitive to use.

For a description of the entire program and screenshots, go here:

This program should be extremely easy to use, but people who haven't used a terminal before should probably ignore it.

With that said, i don't think anyone who have used a terminal should be afraid of giving it a go, it really is very easy.

Hey, thanks for sabcurses! It's a really great tool for managing the downloads. Too bad there is no option to change the categorie of a download - this would make sabcurses perfect. I hope this will come anytime in the future ;)
