[Windows] YoVanilla: Movie and Documentary Post-Processing

I had been experiencing a bug with this script that was having difficulties when trying to join a split movie into a single avi.

I would just like to point out that the author No Tolerance was the exact opposite of his name - very quick to respond and extremely helpful in troubleshooting and fixing the problem. I just wanted to publicly thank him for that - and to ask that he never mention my movies choices in public under fear of death....

No problem. Truth is, I actually enjoy messing around with this thing. I still have a few good suggestions I've received from users that I want to implement. Hopefully I can find time to do that soon.

I really do wish I knew how many people were actually using the script.

Thanks so much, this rocks! I was banging my head against the wall with movies.exe, this is great!

A couple of points.. I'm getting a new version notification, even though I have what I assume is the latest version.. when visiting the URL in the log file, I get 404's from dropbox. I just turned new version checking off for now.

Also, I thought I'd drop at least a couple file names where I ran into issues, not sure if it's something to look into or not..

Maybe the double underscore screwed the pooch on this one? Perhaps try to replace underscores with spaces, then search again for double-spaces, and replace any double-spaces with a single space?

Double-Date issue, i.e. Movie Year (Year) - since the year was already in the movie name.. (Not sure what to do there, because some movies do have a year in the title, and it's valid.. Like 2001: Space Odyssey, etc..)

Just out of curiousity, what's going to happen if someone downloads that "2012" movie..? "2012" (2012)? World explodes?

The new version notification: There was an intermediary release where I screwed up the versioning. If you look at the DB link you have, it's missing the version number completely. The multiple underscores issue: Yep, I didn't really account for that. Multiple spaces, I'm pretty sure I did. I'll tweak that out for .60 - maybe this week.

The date issue: I'll have to look at how I'm handling dates again, but I actually did account for movies like 1984 or 2012 - even 2001: A Space Odyssey. What I don't think I accounted for was really short titles. I'll also see if I can fix that for .60.

I'd already made it safe in my Norton list

However i'm having another problem ....

When i look at an old log, it renames it and moves it to from my complete drive (lets say D:) to a different drive (E:) for me then deletes the entry on D:
However what has been happening since moving to the latest version is it renames it on the D drive then deletes it straight away

In my ini file i have my complete downloads set to D: and the folder to move it to as E: (for all the categories) the program is renaming the MKV files and the folder they live in but it's not moving to the other drive

You may have been having the same issue as flyingoracle. Please update to the latest version.

On v60 i have sometimes this error "Auto It error" "Line 1380 (file "YoVanilla.exe"): Error: Subscript used with non array variable."
In the directory of the error processes are extra file left. for example movie.mkv and a movie.exe other example movie.mkv and a movie.mp4.

You must have +Delete disabled in Sab. I think it's getting hung up on all the rar files.

Is there a reason you're trying to save the rars? I'm not sure I want to code a method to save the files, too. I could check to see if wildcards can be used the the KeepList section if you really need this.

I had the option +Delete enabled I have change that now.
No i don't save or have rar files in the directory when Sab is finish. YoVanilla older versions never show this message.

I have tested with the new settings but i get the same results. a pop up of autoit error.

Hi!

I get the same line 1380 array error as everyone else. Also, after it unrars it and processes it, it deletes EVERYTHING. not just the rars but everything with +delete enabled and disabled.

Any thoughts?

Sorry guys. I'm not sure what's causing this at the moment, but I will try to spend some time today working on a fix.

Xenomes: are you having this issue with all downloads or just the one you're posting about?

I suspect the issue may be all the special characters in the file name, but I haven't tested yet.

Same question for nzbgeorge. The release name for yours is funky, too, with the double title and double dates. My script might be getting tripped up on that. I'll do some testing and see what it does on my end.

No not all the downloads I think 60%. When I download the movie and renamed in sab to "Wrong (2012)" I get the same error.
