This is really a great program, thanx. Is it possible to browse newsgroups with this or does it to be a feature request?
Sometimes I want to search within a newsgroup if something is posted. Can there be more search engines added and if possible a filter option.

You can search within specific groups, just hit the groups button, you'll see.
More search engines can be easily added, i was thinking of adding nzbmatrix.com next,
but if you have a different suggestion, be my guest.

if you select a specific newsgroup first, then leave the search text empty, then hit search, you'll be able to "browse" a group.
however, there's only going to be 250 entries (max, depending on your setting)
I'll look into it, if I can add something like "fetch next 250".

If more can be added, would be great and fetching next 250 etc, would be great too.

Released v1.0.5.4

Is anyone actually using this? or am I just updating this for show  ;D
anyways, if anyone encounters any bugs, has a feature request, or simply some comments, feel free!

I'll keep coding until I satisfy myself, after that, if no one is using this. I'll simply stop updating.

have fun y'all!

using it ;-) lovin it  :o
maybe you could add an option to save nzbs to a folder instead of sending them directly to sab.
I noticed that the "remaining size" of the sab queue is shown as MB but i think it should be KB.
Is it possible to edit my favorites ?

Thanks

Joe

sure, that should be easy enough. expect to see that in upcoming version.
JoeSmith wrote: I noticed that the "remaining size" of the sab queue is shown as MB but i think it should be KB.
are your downloads that small? most things I download are over 1GB.
Anyways, the XML from SABnzbd only gives me the size in MB, so thats the only thing I can display.
I can translate the values from MB to KB, but it wouldn't give you more information,
as it would be rounded up/down to whole 100kb. (just as what it displays now)
So it wouldn't do any good, sorry to disappoint.

Scrap that! Apparently I'm rounding things down to whole MB's in the display.
Expect this to change in the next release.
JoeSmith wrote: Is it possible to edit my favorites ?
Yes, this is already a feature. All you have to do is click the favorite you want to edit (do a search with the favorite)
then update the search parameters as you'd like, then go to your favorite again, but instead of clicking it in the menu,
wait until the submenu opens, then click "Update".
"Update" in this submenu is only enabled at times when you loaded the search params from that specific favorite
(ie. search with that favorite before updating the params)

Great to hear!
keep those requests / reports / bugs coming.

Sorry Joe, this feature didn't make it in this release yet, will do in the nearby future.
Your other request has been done.  (optionally show downloads in KB)

i'm sorry, but i think you misunderstood my request.
When downloading the titlebar gives me information about the remaining time und MB.
http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/7466/nzbo.jpg

and i think that this info is wrong. Take a look at my picture. It says that there is a remaining time of 1m58s and 65911 MB left.
Boy i wish i had that internet connection ;-)
so i think that need to be 659.11 MB thats why i first thought that you switched KB and MB, but thats not the case.

Thanks for your explanation of the editing of favorites and don't worry about not yet included features - you update faster than i notice new versions ;-)

Thanks
Joe

Hmm, very weird. I re-checked what's being displayed on my end, everything seems to be in order.
what version of sab are you using?
can you enter the following in your browser:

http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/api?apike ... output=xml

fill in the the API key, adjust URL to match your configuration.
do this while you see this abnormal behavior, end send the output to me (in a private msg)
