Hello people!

Currently i'm developing an Application to remote control your sabnzbd environment from your mobile phone (iPhone). The first initial release is currently published too the app store and is currently being reviewed. I could use some help in testing and thinking out new ideas and features for this app. Current version only supports API Key access to the sabnzbd instance. I'm in the progress of implementing the username/password + https support in the app this will be finished soon.

Its currently a non payed app for now so grab your chance to get it once its available! Help me out turning it into a killer app.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sab-remo ... ?mt=8&ls=1

Current features:
- Watching queue (auto updates)
- Detailed view of the queue (currently implementing all the properties available from the api)
- Adding items to the queue from a search tab (search results from nzbindex, currently researching my private usenet header indexer)
- Pause and resume a queue item
- Watching history
- Detailed view of the history (currently implementing all the properties available from the api)
- Removing items from the history
- Beautiful interface ;) (I want to make everything as beautiful as possible, your input is crucial)

Available in next release:
- HTTPS
- More implementation of the sabnzb api (Assign categories, scripts etc)
- Warning view
- Server status (current speed, restart service etc)

Available in future release:
- More search possibilities (hopefully private usenet indexer with meta search)
- iPad (Universal app)
- Multiple servers
- Beter initial setup wizard
- And more.... (feature request are welcome!)

P.S. I know there are more apps similar to this one, but I just want you to be able to pick the best, and I will try to archieve this goal!

PM me if you want to participate in early adopter access to this App and future builds (AdHoc builds, requiring your DeviceId).

Works great - Loving it !
Left positive review in iTunes store.

Anyone struggling to get it working - you have to go into your iPhone settings program, scroll down to the bottom beneath 'Store' where apps are configured and click on SAB Remote. Set your host and API details there.
:)

Hey ;-)

Pretty good idea.

I have my sab client running a win7 pc.
My iphone4 is within the same network via wlan.

my config looks like this:
host: 192.168.0.1 (if this is my client)
port: 8085 (like its set in sabnzb settings-> SABnzbd-Port)
api key: the one mentioned within the same config menu in sabnzb)

if i try to connect, it waits exactly 10sec and msgs me "the request timed out"

any idea?
do i need to open any port within win7? what did other users around here to get it working?

thanks for the advice

That ip address looks like your router ip address not the ip of your pc. Also in server settings of sabnzbd set the ip to 0.0.0.0 so it listens to all network interfaces. TIP to test things out first try to point your browser on the iphone to the sabnzbd server if it connects and opens then sab remote will find it too. Hope this helps.

thanks for the fast answer

the ip adress was an example. i put in the ip of my server running sabnzb+ 0.5.6
the port in the sabnzb+ settings is not 8080. its 8085 by default (as far as i remember)

i changed the ip within sabnzb+ settings to "0.0.0.0"
i still can not open (with safari on my iphone or within sab remote) my webinterface from my iphone

on safari i tryed:
myIP:8085
http://myIP:8085
both result in timeouts

Hmmm this actually sounds like a general sabnzbd configuration problem?

ok its my fault.

could you please mention in the app store that sabnzb+ 0.5.6 is required?
i tried it with 0.5.4 and it wouldnt connect but resulted in a timeout.

after upgrading to the latest version, everything worked fine.

thank you

right now i only can see the first 20 downloads from the queue.
also the icon shows a "20". dont know why the latest added (end of queue) doesnt show up.
seems like a bug to me

Registered just to show my support!

Love the appĀ  :) It's free and much easier than using the web front end + nzb search sites...

2 suggestions:

1) Add ability to select a category
2) Add ability to choose nzb indexing sites. For example nzbmatrix/nzbxxx

Otherwise keep up the great work. It's a simple, clean, and fast app!
