You shouldnt need a mac, You can get the sabnzbd files from here: SABnzbd-0.4.6-osx-src.tar.gz (no need to extract them from the .app when we provide them already) or just use the files provided in the link you quoted.

Make sure

Code: Select all

/private/var/SABnzbd/sabnzbd/__init__.py
exists.

If it doesn't you didnt copy it across with the other files.

found the problem the folder was called /private/var/SABnzbd/SABnzbd and not /private/var/SABnzbd/sabnzbd for some reason

also is there any limitations the sab on the iphone like par2 not working or does it all work?

par2 and unrar will work if installed. I'm not sure where you get the binaries from though, maybe the normal osx ones work.

I wouldn't expect great performance from the iphone however.

no the normal one wont work as you get this error when running par2 "Bad CPU type in executable"

it'd be amazing to have this fully working with par2 support we just need to find out how to get it

p.s. after searching i can't find any par2 builds for arm processor's but how about a python based par2 program that'll work but is there one

No, it needs to be par2cmdline (aka par2.exe). I'm pretty sure some people have reported getting par2 and unrar working; I'm not sure how they did it though/

unrar will work as you can get that with cydia easily but there's no way to make par2 work as it won't work on an arm cpu

also correct me if i'm wrong but didn't sabnzbd once come with a python based par2 program years back?

will libpar work?

par2cmdline can be built for arm. It's used for example when running sabnzbd on an NSLU box.

Look for clues here: http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=30&h ... rt=30&sa=N

For people who have this installed, can you download music and have it show up within the iPhone music library?
