Re: Lower unrar cpu priority
Sorry, should have mentioned I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 and the latest SABNzbd. And you're right, it's the disk, not the cpu. However if I can slow down the unpacking process this would help a lot, I think. I do disable post-processing like you suggest but I'd rather have it fully automated ;)...

Lower unrar cpu priority
When I'm watching a film with my mediaplayer it jitters and halts when SABNzbd is unpacking a rar set. My mediaplayer is streaming from my download server so that's not really surprising.
Is there any way I can lower the unrar function's cpu priority for SABNzbd?
Thanks!

Re: Possible to change the process name?
It doesn't show the parameters and SAB doesn't seem to work when started that way, although the process is started. It doesn't really matter, SABnzbd is quite stable and I rarely need to manage the process from the process manager. When necessary I'll fix up a script that finds out the newly started...

Re: Possible to change the process name?
Thanks for your reply. I had a little hope there'd be a forgotten command line parameter.
I *could* start the processes using "run as" of course...

Possible to change the process name?
I'm running multiple instances (for mutiple users) of SABnzbd 0.6.9 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit. I would like to be able to see which SABnzbd.exe process belongs to which user. Apart from changing the executable name, is there any way to distinguish between the processes?

How to separate history with multiple instances
I'm running several instances of 0.6.9 on a Server 2008 R2 server. I set it up so multiple users can have their individual instances and download to their user folder. This all works great but for one thing: they all see all of the history, so if user A downloads file A and user B downloads file B, ...
