We switched over to Darius's newznab fork called newznab-tmux almost 2 weeks ago. It all looked fine but when the site was put under load the whole thing came down like a house of cards. Darius tremendously helped with debugging and it turned out to be a database issue. Because we couldn't pinpoint ...

You could also just enable SSL in SAB for your Usenet Provider. That should be enough.

I am doing some SQL maintenance on the servers. The queries seem to be heavy enough to slow down the server.

Maintenance completed, site should be back to normal speeds.

We've switched to NewsDemon as Supernews/Giganews caused too many incomplete files. They've also disallowed the user of dedicated servers with their services.

We've switched our Bitcoin operations over to Bitpay just now. This allows us to process Bitcoin payments automatically without the need for human intervention :-)
