A hdd is most likely the bottleneck.
Try reducing the speed, I don't know what your maximum speed is, but set it to half of that to start. See if your NAS can then keep up.
Usenet downloading is a heavy task for disk, cpu and a bit of memory. An ssd as temporary download folder will definitely help.

Re: Downloads getting stuck at 100% until restarting client
You can force it to complete by setting the Priority to Stop.
To resolve, how many servers do you have and did you change any server settings manually or through the scheduler during the download?
How many connections does each server use?

"Usenetexpress has 0% available of 67K requested articles." There it is. Is this really not a clear text? We requested 67.000 articles, and Usenetexpress responded 100% that they do not have this article. If you read the link SABNZBD.org/not-complete, it will tell you exactly why in the &q...

Re: Problems adding a second server, please help!
Maybe I'm not understanding, but the order starts from low to high. So priority 0 is tried first, 2 is tried last.
The Config also shows the servers in that order to illustrate that.

Re: Problems adding a second server, please help!
Of course, that's the whole point it only gets data from the higher Severs if the content isn't available from the first one. So that you can spare your block server if the content is available on your normal servers.

On Windows? It hasn't auto started in many years, due to a permissions thing.

Re: Sab just hangs...
How many connections do you use for each server? Have you added or removed servers during the downloading?

Re: SAB not remembering the hostname settings
It's doing so because we have a lot of novice users that configure things that end up breaking.
So throughout the years the whole application is filled with safeguards against users breaking things.
The really advanced users usually prefer NZBGet as there they can do anything

Re: SAB not remembering the hostname settings
Ah now I understand.
From the code I can see that when a hostname is set, we try go resolve it. Only if we can resolve it, we bind to it. As a safety measure.
Otherwise we try to find the ip of the device hostname and use that.

Re: sabnzbd after Download shows no progress bar on unpacking status
Some types of archives don't show unpacking progress, like zips and 7zips. Maybe it's one of those?
Try downloading the 1Gb test file in the Status window, what does it show?

Re: History retention what is the archive
It's just another layer in the history, nothing too special. But useful if you want to use duplicate detection while still having a clean History.

Re: History retention what is the archive
It's a square box with an arrow in it. Just hover over the buttons at the bottom right and it will show tooltip.

Re: History retention what is the archive
On the main page, below the history on the right there is the button to toggle the Archive.
This is where jobs go if you delete them from the history, just like in your email client etc. You can also choose to permanently delete jobs directly if you don't want an archive.

Re: Nabewerking mislukt
