Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

Well hell, after about 28 hours, the CherryPy error returned for a blip. Will keep monitoring.

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

After a little more than 24 hours of running without incident, it looks like there is a setting that remediates the problem described in this thread... Both Windows 10 (1809) and Server 2019 (1809) automatically delete temporary files that "apps aren't using". There is no apparent configuration para...

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

Interesting line of thought. Windows 10 1809 (and Server 2019) have a built-in tool that seems to automate cleanup of temporary files. I've turned all of the features off and we'll run through it again. I'll update you in 24 hours or so.

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

Follow up: Sometime during the evening of the 24th hour, the problem recurred with 2.3.8RC1. Interestingly, the script works a few times, but later I can see clusterred temp file request failures in cherrypy even after clearing the warning log and restarting SABNZBd. Would you like a full log? Note:...

Re: Does someone has issues with a slow sabnzbd?

I've been running SABNZBd for years on VMs and have seen a number of issues that are directly related to that environment. The single biggest performance boost you can give the system is to map your temporary download folder to an SSD. Obviously, your mileage will vary, depending on the class of mac...

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

Nothing definitive to report, but no cherrypy failures in the first 16 hours of operation on RC1.

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

Sure. I was on travel this week, so I didn't have access to the machine.

Do you still want to test it, or is it already rolled in the the RC? I've already loaded it, if this is a good target.

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

OK, I wrote a quick PowerShell to monitor the API for warnings containing the error condition, so things are at least functional over time.

For now, clearing the warnings and restarting SABNZBd seems to work...

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

I don't think it is a 2019 issue specifically to be honest. I had a similar experience after upgrading from 2012 to 2016 years ago. Unfortunately it persisted until I wiped the box clean and installed the OS fresh. I am very much hoping it doesn't come to that this time. I actually wiped my install...

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

Server 2019 is built on top of the Windows 10 version 1809 feature baseline (less Edge/Windows Store), so testing on that platform may help reveal any issues. There are also a number of additional changes versus Server 2016, but there doesn't seem to be anything obvious that would vary in the simple...

Re: cherrypy and sql query errors

This is literally the exact same situation I am in, minus the VM. Stand alone Windows 2016 installation, running great for years. Upgraded to Windows 2019 and I have the exact same experience. Reinstalling or rebooting makes it go away (with successful downloads) and then 12-24 hours later I start ...

Abort jobs that that cannot be completed - not triggering

For certain download patterns, jobs that can't possibly complete (e.g., 90+% of content unavailable) will continue to download and end up with an "Invalid par2 files or invalid PAR2 parameters, cannot verify or repair" indication, rather than aborting early. Version: 2.3.4 [2a113f7] on Windows Serve...

Re: 2.0.0 Issues

Thanks for the response! I've been running par2 with -t0 since I started using SABNZBD several years ago. When I observed the issues I tried to describe above I also tried -t+. Neither setting seems to have improved the time required to verify/repair. The real issue is the time to verify. Several fi...
