Re: Downloading slow with ASUS RT-N66U Router

Puzzled that was a great idea! But now I'm puzzled because now it's fast with the ASUS router! I have done nothing except disable one news server so I was left with just newsdemon and dropped it to 1 connection to do this experiment. It was at 2.5 MB.s with 1 connection. Then I went to 2, 4, 8 and ...

Re: Speed Help

crabcola - did you ever resolve this? I am noticing the same 2.5 MB/s cap as you and the other user RichKK, which seems too suspicious to be a coincidence . One twist is that the cap only occurs when I use a certain router (details in are in my post titled "Downloading slow with ASUS RT-N66U R...

Re: Speed Help

@sander I am getting 160 MB/s with consistency on a different reader. Without connecting thru VPN. That's a pretty startling difference, and seems to indicate SAB as the variable here. I'd love to get this figured out if you wouldn't mind continuing to help.

Should I connect thru my VPN??
Yes, try that.
Saw a little improvement using VPN connection. Jumped around a lot, but spiked as high as 6 MB/s towards the end of the test download. Strange times.

Will do. For reference, there's a user in the General Discussion board describing the exact same issue I'm having... even the 2.5 mb/s thing. He claims he tried a different reader and didn't have the speed cap.

Re: D'load Speeds

Came here to post about speed and saw this thread, so I'm piggybacking. Forgive my ignorance, as I'm sure you most of you have seen these types of questions 1,000 times over. I'm a first time visitor to the forums. I've been using Sab alongside Giganews Diamond level for many years (go ahead with t...

Re: Speed Help

Just checking back in. Fresh start didn't help, either. Fast.com speed test still hovering around 500 mb/s. I don't know what to do other than reach out to Giganews, and see if it may be with them. If Giganews can't solve it, also try another newsprovider, for example the free 750 GB trial https://...

Re: Speed Help

So: plain download speed at fast.com is 900 Mbps and then 510 Mbps ... ? Sounds wobbly, and thus not good. Anyway: I would advice a fresh setup: https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/faq#freshstart Just checking back in. Fresh start didn't help, either. Fast.com speed test still hovering around 500 mb/s. I don'...

Re: D'load Speeds

There can be many kinks in the chain. What happens if you use the Test Download in the Status and Interface settings window? What if you do a speedtest at speedtest.net? And when you're sure it's not the connection to the internet, have you tried a trial account with a different usenet provider? We...

Speed Help

Noob here, as evidenced by the fact I posted this help question in a general discussion thread at first. I'll keep it simple. My current DL speed is over 900 mb/s with my UL speed over 100 mb/s. My max download on Sab is 2.5 mb/s. I've never had this issue before, and it only started a few days ago....
