Re: configuring sabnzbd with scenenzbs com
@teaserboii SceneNZBs.com is a (German) Usenet indexer. It helps you to automate tools like Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr and other *arr-tools. These *arr-tools are looking on one or more indexer(s) to search for TV-Shows, Movies and Music by name. If found, they download the NZB from the Indexer and send ...

Re: To VPN or Not VPN
Is it necessary to VPN if only using sabnzbd and no other client in the USA? What exactly do you want to prevent using VPN? That your source can see where you are (your IP is) located? That your ISP can see the content you download? That law enforcement agencies can collect evidences for illegal do...

Re: Crazy high numbers of download queue ETA numbers
@safihre: That sounds reasonable.
Maybe this should be changed to "not a bug, just an edge case".

Crazy high numbers of download queue ETA numbers
My queue is currently huge (15'000 entries) and I had to delete several hundreds of them. I multi-selected the entries and pressed the recycle-bin icon in the lower right corner. During the refresh of the remaining list of entries (still to be deleted), I got this crazy high ETA numbers: https://i.i...

ENGINE socket.error 8 / SABnzbd 4.0.1 [1263068] on a Synology
Since the update to the newest available SABnzbd version for a Synology NAS I get this error from time to time: WARNING 16 hours ago [21/May/2023:16:01:58] ENGINE socket.error 8 Traceback (most recent call last): File "/volume5/@appstore/sabnzbd/env/lib/python3.11/site-packages/cheroot/server.p...

Any chance to copy the settings from SABnzbd on a Synology to a local Windows portable installation?
I have a running SABnzbd installation on my Synology NAS. To test (and compare) the download speed from my usenet provider, I would like to use a portable Windows version on my PC. Is there a way to copy (or export) all the settings from Synology to a local installation? There are several settings I...

Re: Download file when password is required
Sometimes the download of a password protected file stopps (because the password is missing or wrong).
I assume you can control the behaviour with the switch "Action when encrypted RAR is downloaded" and/or "Direct Unpack".

Re: SABnzbd Is it not supported for drunkenslug
@bigbillsd: You should also read first how Usenet works. ;) "DrunkenSlug" is so called Indexer. It let you search and download NZB files. This tiny files gives you the "pointer" to various parts in the Usenet. This parts are hosted by Usenet-Servers, like Newshosting and many oth...

Importing *.NZB from watch-queue to download queue becomes very slow
Importing *.NZB from watch-queue to the download queue becomes very slow the bigger the amount of files are. Currently, I have 4'500 items in the download queue. If I add 10 files to the watch queue, every of this 10 NZB needs about 5 seconds to get added to the download queue. I tried to stop the d...

SABnzbd v3.6.1-57 for NAS on Synocommunity available, but not in Package Center/Manager
The newest SABnzbd v3.6.1-57 seems to be ready for download on https://synocommunity.com/package/sabnzbd But in the Synology DSM Package Center, I still can't see this version as update. Do you know any workaround to "force" the Package Center to offer/refresh the list of available packages?

Re: SQL Command Failed, see log / "DB or disc full" -> not true
@safihre: I didn't know that a sqlite db can get full at 1 TB page size , thanks for that info. But even with my 40'000 history entries, I think the history1.db was only about 40 MB, far away from the 1 TB file size. On the other side : The command PRAGMA main.max_page_count; shows "1073741823&...

Re: SQL Command Failed, see log / "DB or disc full" -> not true
Just for the record: The logged line "...database.py", line 124 only contains the command self.c.execute(command, args) I assume, the source of the error message is this code snippet starting at line 333 in database.py: command_args.extend([start, limit]) cmd = "SELECT * FROM history ...

Re: SQL Command Failed, see log / "DB or disc full" -> not true
I don't see any errors in the database itself. A manually executed VACUUM works without any problem. The SQL-command SELECT * FROM history WHERE name LIKE ? ORDER BY completed desc LIMIT ?, ? doesn't work, but maybe the ? sign masks something? I have never seen that the LIMIT option takes something ...
