Re: Sab on a small Synology NAS?

Thanks for your reply...

My internet connection is currently 500 Mbps, and I can get most of that with Sab on a Linux PC. The bottleneck is transferring completed files to the ancient NAS at about 350 Mbps. It still works OK as a file server for Kodi, but software support must be ending soon. Kudos ...

I'm not planning on running much else on it, other than serving files to Kodi.

I have an ancient DS213j, with only 512MB of RAM, but I've never tried to run Sab on it ...

Thanks for explaining!

I decided that I'm better off without the encryption, so I removed it (roughly following https://www.howtogeek.com/116179/how-to-disable-home-folder-encryption-after-installing-ubuntu/).

Re: Sab won't start as a service on Linux Mint unless I log in after startup

Apologies for the slow reply... I am new to this forum, and was expecting to get an email if someone replied to my post.

Yes, the file did exist. These were the ownership and rights:

ls -ld /home /home/leon /home/leon/.sabnzbd

Sab won't start as a service on Linux Mint unless I log in after startup

I am setting up a laptop with the latest version of Linux Mint (22.3). I have been running Sabnzbdplus as a service on an older laptop, which runs Mint 21, and it's been running beautifully on that machine,

On the new laptop, I followed the instructions in the Wiki for installing the Ubuntu version ...
