Re: Major Drop in speed, but only in SAB.

Usual suspects: - you set up a bandwidth limit and/or bandwidth percentage - using wifi, instead of wired - saving to a slow disk (NAS for example) - slow hardware (for example running SAB on a raspi or NAS) - speed limit in your usenet plan - bad performance by your usenet provider - too much (or t...

I set the maximum line speed and percentage of line speed to 0.
Uhhh ... I would say that would limit the speed to 0 Mbps.

Just remove line speed setting.
And then check you cannot set a percentage anymore

OK, good for you. Thanks for reporting back.

And my lesson learned: "[Error 5] Access is denied while running" does/could mean the executable is not executable at all?

Re: Upgraded Internet Speed SAB Is Not Changing

Do NOT set a max download speed; it's meant to limit the speed.

And, if you can set a percentage, it means you have set a speed limit. That's bad. Search for "Maximum line speed", or go to http://127.0.0.1:8080/sabnzbd/config/ge ... _max_value directly, and remove the setting.

Re: Error [Error 5] Access is denied while running par2_repair on set ...

Really?

Back to the basics: download the NZB from https://nzbindex.com/search/?q=reftestnzb+auto+e5600869 and put it into SABn, and let SAB download it. What is the result?

No, you should exclude the SAB download directories, probably "...Downloads\complete" and "...Downloads\incomplete"

I have no Windows, so I cannot check.

Yes, if you can exclude SAB's directories, that's good too.

Re: Issues with RARs

Ah ... 12.04. And I thought my 14.04 VPSes were old. ;-) There are two rar formats in the wild: rar format 3 and rar format 5. Obviously, with rar version 4 you cannot rar format 5 files. So ... upgrade your (un)rar binary? EDIT: Hey, wait, if you can manually extract ... how do you do that? Or ... ...

How can you have unrar 4 on your Ubuntu VM? Even trusty (14.04) has unrar 5.

Re: Sab very slow with certain VPN protocols

I believe that 7 or 8 number was builtin some time ago to avoid high CPU loads (trying to read from an empty pipe). I can't find in which SABnzbd version. Anyway: If you ran SABnzbd from source (like on Linux), you could have changed the parameter yourself. On Windows ... maybe worth trying going to...

Re: Running sabnzbd on QNAP ARM device

Of this, only sabyenc is really a problem: sabyenc is required.

But ... how did you install this? I would expect the packager (the person creating the SABnzbd package for QNAP) for QNAP would take of including sabyenc?

I did something to your account, and I got "Successfully removed the user’s newly registered status." ... so ... can you try again?
