Re: Sabnzbd crashes but no errors [Ubuntu]

Recently, Sabnzbd has started crashing occasionally - I can't access the web interface and the logs imply there is no activity. "crash" is a big, ambiguous word. So check if sabnzbd is still running: sudo ps -ef | grep -i sabnzbd For example: $ sudo ps -ef | grep -i sabnzbd sander 23537 1 0 13:12 ?...

Re: Access Denied after upgrade to 3.3.0Beta3

I assume 3.2.1 is working for you?

If so, most easy to stay on it until something newer than 3.3.0Beta3 appears.

Re: Copying config.ini and history from old Synology to new Synology?

I think "chown sc-sabnzbd:sabnzbd history1.db" is correct. I'm sure who can do that ... can user user2000 do that (and thus give ownership to another user)?

Just try. Maybe first on a copy of the file.

Re: Copying config.ini and history from old Synology to new Synology?

As you were able to handle chmod, I expect you can handle chown too ... So, go ahead.

config.ini: yes, just copy the API key. Via the GUI, I would say.

Re: Copying config.ini and history from old Synology to new Synology?

Code: Select all

-rwxrwx--- 1 user2000 users 12607488 May 4 21:18 history1.db
Not good. "chown" is your friend.

But maybe easier to change the rwx bits from
-rwxrwx---
to
-rwxrwxrwx

with

Code: Select all

chmod 777 history1.db
... and then it should work: user account sabnzbd can read and write it.

Re: Connection is not secure warning

I checked, and I access my SAB instances via HTTP (not HTTPS), and Chrome does not complain ... just a small note left of the URL "not secure". No popups etc http://127.0.0.1:8080/ http://192.168.1.4:8080/ So ... worth a try: turn off "Enable HTTPS" in SABnzbd on http://127.0.0.1:8080/config/general...

Re: Copying config.ini and history from old Synology to new Synology?

history is in .sabnzbd/admin/history1.db

First make sure SAB is running on the new machine.
Then stop SAB, and copy in that file.

Re: Connection is not secure warning

Chrome is becoming more and more strict on what it considers safe: Chrome now only considers safe: valid SSL with HTTPS. Chrome considers unsafe: HTTP Chrome considers unsafe: self-signed SSL with HTTPS On your LAN, you have private IP addresses for which you cannot get a valid SSL. So ... no soluti...

Re: Access Denied after upgrade to 3.3.0Beta3

Before I answer your question, again my question:

Is SABnzbd running on a public IPv4 address? So on a VPS or seedbox? You can check via SAB -> Wrench symbol, at "Local IPv4 address " ...

Re: Access Denied after upgrade to 3.3.0Beta3

@dtj0h I was too early: the CLI parameter to fix it is not in Beta3.

Workarounds for now:
downgrade to 3.3.0Beta2 or 3.2.1 (which won't say Access Denied)
upgrade to the git version (which has the CLI option to avoid the Access Denied)

Re: Access Denied after upgrade

Is your SABnzbd on a public IP address?

https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/issues/1872

Solution: start SABnzbd from CLI with "--inet_exposure=5"
