I’ve got the exact same problem.
Hopefully solved it by reinstalling SABnzbd (just deleted the SABnzbd folder in Library/Application Support).

Found a workaround.
Right Click on the app -> Information-> activate Rosetta emulation

Hey guy’s, I can‘t get 3.4.0 to work on M1 Mac mini with macOS 11.6. I downloaded the newest sabnzbd 3.4.0. Quit 3.3.1 and double clicked on 3.4.0 to launch it. But nothing happens. No sabnzbd in activity monitor. Tried to delete the Sabnzbd folder in application support but still no luck. Please he...

The problem still exists and it’s very annoying.
How to fix this?

I don‘t know if it’s a bug or has nothing in common, but when the SABnzbd forum was offline today the „Status and Interface options“ dialog in SABnzb 3.2.1 doesn’t load anything under „status“.

How about a build-in updater for SABnzbd like https://sparkle-project.org/ for macOS and https://winsparkle.org/ for Windows?

How about an UI button to manually start direct unpack, e.g. after set category or edit the name?

if I edit the name of a download in b2 direct unpack stops. Even one single character.
Same if I change the category.
