It is not working for me,  I use GIT pull, it updates, well i think it does anyway, and when i open CP it tells me that an update is available.
Version: 571f72b

The update available is gone now, I had to stop the python script and restart it.

Restarted computer and it still shows: Update available: update now Running CP through GIT Version: UNKNOWN Build. , Update available: update now , Check for new version I just did a pull and there was activity. I fixed the thumbnails by bringing over my Cache folder..

Still at a loss as to why it doesnt show version etc..

What I had to do, the shows that were not showing complete info, i deleted them and re-added them.  I must have had two or three that were that way.  They are all working now.

Go to Manage Shows<--- Manage Searches <---- and Pause the backlog search that is running

yes i get this, but it shows me the settings anyways.. if i am using the IP address, if I use local host, it shows me nothing for settings, but everything else works.  Editing the config in notepad++ gives me the same features.
