Re: Much slower download speeds on new Windows 11 PC
Ok, I isolated the problem to the built-in network adapter in the new PC. The built-in adapter is the Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I226-V. Amazingly this is fixed with a simple setting change: see https://www.reddit.com/r/intelnuc/comments/1951rgk/comment/lu8jazs/ Click Start Search for "power&...

Much slower download speeds on new Windows 11 PC
I've just set up a new Windows 11 PC that is (on paper) much more powerful than my previous Windows 10 laptop. However, I'm getting much slower downloads - 14.9 MB/s for the 10 GB test on the new PC vs. 72.4 MB/s on the old PC. Network is the same: wired ethernet, and speedtest is the same on both P...

Re: Filename truncated when source contains square bracket
Which is the bug: the hidden Windows switch or the anomalous renaming? But this sounds indeed like a bug
I’m happy to report either or both.

Re: Filename truncated when source contains square bracket
“Advanced Settings” is turned on. As @Sander says, the switch doesn’t appear to be available on Windows. The 'Naming' section only appears on that page when you check the 'Advanced Settings' box at the top-right of the screen.

Re: Filename truncated when source contains square bracket
But do you have Sorting on? So: http://127.0.0.1:8080/sabnzbd/config/sorting/ Yes, Series Sorting is enabled and set to: %sn/%sn - S%0sE%0e - %en.%ext Make Windows compatible is here: http://127.0.0.1:8080/sabnzbd/config/sw ... itize_safe Not there! Here's a screenshot of that page: https://imgur.c...

Re: Filename truncated when source contains square bracket
Can you see in sabnzbd.log why this is happening? Is it because of Series renaming / sorting / ... ? The filename appears to be truncated in the Incomplete folder right after download completes. e.g. 2023-08-06 13:07:25,291::DEBUG::[deobfuscate_filenames:112] Checking: <HASH><HASH>4e5392b1b7a77f 20...

Re: Slow downloads - temporarily fixed by Windows reboot
I think I may have fixed this problem with the SG TCP Optimizer . I simply selected the highest connection speed (100+ Mbps) and chose the "Optimal" setting. Since doing so I haven't experienced a slowdown. I'll post any relevant updates to this thread. P.S.: I have an older Dell laptop bu...

Re: Slow downloads - temporarily fixed by Windows reboot
Are you using SABnzbd 3.6.1? In the Status and Interface settings window, after a slow download, does it show anything about source of slowdown? We have a basic detection mechanism for that now built in. If nothing extra is shown, it couldn't detect it. I’m using 3.6.1 and haven’t seen anything rel...

Re: Slow downloads - temporarily fixed by Windows reboot
* 12MB/s sounds like fast ethernet. What speed do you get with the 1GB or 10GB download on https://speed.hetzner.de/ ? I'm getting around 20 MB/s on the 10GB file, 25 MB/s on the 1GB file. * how many connections to your newsserver? Rule of thumb: start at 5 connections, measure speed, and increase ...

Slow downloads - temporarily fixed by Windows reboot
I'm typically seeing download speeds of 10-12 MB/s. I have a wired gigabit internet connection, running Windows 10. and expect to get downloads at least 4-5x faster. I occasionally do see downloads in the 50-60 MB/s range, but those are the exception. Here are the stats from the SABnzbd status scree...

Re: Bypass VPN setting for API access
Thanks for that. I've been using the API for a long time so hadn't looked into using RSS. I was only using Send to SAB for movies, as I've been using Sonarr for awhile without any problems for shows. So I thought I would also try Radarr. It also works well, is easy to use, and has some nice features...

Bypass VPN setting for API access
Sending to SAB from an index site works when I have VPN turned off on my host, but doesn't work when I enable VPN. The VPN lets me set up bypass lists, but I can't figure out what URL to enter to bypass the VPN for SABnzbd API integration. I think this used to work using the url http://[localhost]:[...

Re: Missing articles
I've been seeing the same thing. Astraweb (US Omicron backbone) as my primary with NewsDemon (US UseNetExpress backbone) and TweakNews (Europe own backbone) as backup. Supposedly the different backbones means higher completion, but with some content I'm not finding that.
