Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

Skypike, looks like the automated python handling in the package creates non-optimized compiled *.pyc files only. Will look into making it create pyo too as soon as I find the time for it.

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

rc5 is available; some changes were made to the package:
  • Replaced dependency on obsoleted package python-pyopenssl by python-openssl (hardy only).
  • Moved the unrar dependency from suggested to recommended.
Now let's just hope the final comes out before my vacation starts :P

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

Hi, Thanks for the repository,  much appreciated. I think there is a small typo in the url if anyone is having trouble with their sources.list. [...] "gutsy"  should be "gusty"  which was why I was getting a 404. Anyways I just thought I would point that out if anyone was getting 404's. Thanks for ...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

0.4.0rc2 has been uploaded and built. Compared to 0.3.4 the perl dependencies have gone, a recommended dependency for python-pyopenssl has been added (for ssl support), and of course sabnzbd+ has been greatly improved ;D. In case you are upgrading from the 0.3.4 package and have your system set to n...

Re: 0.4.0-beta2 stops downloading. Restart of SABnzbd needed.

The problem described in my post (Reply #15 on: April 17, 2008) still holds exactly as before on beta5, except that the python error is gone. When some server is unreachable, nothing is ever downloaded from any server and the log shows a repetitive cycle of connection attempts and subsequent failure...

Re: Post Processing Error

The mkdir -m  command should make the folder with the permissions set, in this case 655, but it didnt. The -m option of mkdir only applies to the "final" directory, but not to any parent even when created at the same time. Default permissions are controlled by umask. Inserting umask 122 at the begi...

+1 for that suggestion. Once the pid is known, everything else can found via some simple scripting.

Re: Post Processing Error

Here is the result of a ls on the parent folder drwx------  3 root root     4.0K 2008-04-29 14:20 <showname>/ And the point of showing this ls output is...? Your script only runs chown/chmod on '/Season 6', and does not touch the parent directory at all, other than (possibly) creating it as part of...

Re: --server option doesn't properly handle ipv6 ip addresses

Seems this stuff is highly operating system dependent; I'm getting quite different results on Linux, see attached file. Listening on ipv6 works only when no square brackets are used, and at the same time a port number is specified. On the bright side of things, note the last case, which has cherrypy...

Re: How about multicore par?

ferno wrote:any one got this compiled and running on Linux? Or i is just win32?
Don't bother unless you know c++. The changes to the code make (unnecessary) use of win32 api calls. In addition patches are needed to compile pas2cmdline with gcc 4 which are not applied to this source, in case you were using that.

nzb_leecher wrote:How did you add the changes ? Via editing the ini file or via one of the interfaces?
Added the bogus server via the Default interface, then restarted the program. Removal was done manually by editing out the offending server from the ini file after shutting down sabnzbd.

Re: 0.4.0-beta2 stops downloading. Restart of SABnzbd needed.

All primary servers, of which some were not functioning (no account, or trying out SSL which did not work on xlned.com). So the non-functioning primary server could cause the block? Interesting. This is indeed reproducible by adding a bogus server to an otherwise completely working setup. For testi...
