Re: Newbie.....Speed Problems
Using SSL instead of NNTP is definitely a way to avoid traffic shaping. Just don't forget you have to change the port, but also the server's address and check the SSL option.

Re: Please don't drop the Classic skin in the future
Plush is definitely an improvement IMHO, although I used to love the classic interface.
I only miss some customizability: different sets of colors and ability to display more info (I don't like having to hover)

Re: Can anyone please help a Mac + SABnzbd newbie.
@gazzmatt As Shypike said, Usenet and sabnzbd are difficult to understand, and that's probably why it's not as popular as other forms of downloads. Although Usenet.nl is a perfectly valid option, check this out: http://www.newsgroupreviews.com/coupon-codes.html. The best deals for unlimited download...

Re: Downloading directly to tablet
Well, you can download .nzb on your tablet, but it will be difficult to actually download binaries on your tablet, and for one thing: processing power. I know of one program to read Usenet groups on ipad (Newstap), but I'm not aware of anything else. I guess the easiest thing to do is have sabnzbd r...

Yes, mynzb is clearly the best!! Better than best is difficult to achieve, but here's my wish list anyway ;D: Dropbox integration Support for NZB from other app Support for unlimited RSS feeds Support for nzbmatrix categories Support for filters (filesize, age, group...) Thank you so much for MyNZB!...

Re: SABCommand (iPad App) Additional Beta Testers
I have some time on my hands, an iPad 1 (and maybe an iPad 2 in a couple of hours if I get lucky), so if you're still looking for beta testers, I'd be glad to participate!

Re: What are the real good NZB search sites?
I have access to all the nzb sites I know of. Newzbin is of course the inventor of NZB, but I don't find it better than NZBMatrix. Nzbmatrix (VIP account of course) is the best I know of. When I don't find something on Nzbmatrix, I go to Binsearch.info or nzbindex.nl. If it's on Usenet, but not on b...

Re: myNZB
Thanks again for Mynzb, I use it all the time. I couldn't find how to do some tasks, so I post it here as feature requests. Feature requests: Add the Bookmark-RSS feed from NZBmatrix Add any kind of nzb RSS feed Save links temporarily. If I don't have access to my computer (it's switched off or inac...

Re: downloading to an external hard drive?
You can also use Safari, clear the download folder field and drag&drop the download folder from the finder to the field in Safari.
It won't work with another browser.

Re: Sorting/renaming previously downloaded media
It's maybe a little late, but you should definitely check out Filebot: http://filebot.sourceforge.net/
It's a tv renamer / subtitle downloader / sfv validator.
Works on Windows, OS X, Linux... and every platform that supports Java.

@simieski
Your problem has to do with nzbmatrix, not Mynzb nor sabnzbd...
Maybe you should ask that question in the Nzbmatrix forums!

Re: myNZB
@Houdini1980 1) Change Listen on to 0.0.0.0 or the ip address of the computer running sabnzbd (its own address). See here the manual : http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-general-v2 2) Deactivate temporarily username and password 3) Try other ports (anything will work, but choose something close to 80...

Re: Cheapest of the cheap services?
Both Astraweb and usenetserver offer 96$/year subscription plan. You won't find either offer on their webpage, you have to search on google to find a link to the offer.

Re: external hard drive?
I finally found the solution to my problem: I formatted the HDD as NTFS.
NTFS shouldn't be used on a regular basis because 10.6.x drivers are not reliable enough, and NTFS doesn't work that well on Mac.
So I formatted everything to HFS+ and now everything works fine!
