@sander, I did that a couple of days ago, and can verify it works fine. :)
Cool.

EDIT: question: just that one python file, or more nzbtomedia python files?

Re: NzbToMedia -> Python3

Peter, can you do this:

Of /volume1/downloads/SCRIPTS/nzbToSickBeard.py change the first line

Code: Select all

#!/usr/bin/env python
to

Code: Select all

#!/usr/bin/env python3
(So: just add a 3 directly after python, without a space)

and start using the nzbToSickBeard.py directly again. Please report back the result.

I also like to report same issue,and also got it resolved now by editing eol.py file for now
Clever decision.

BTW: On which OS is your SABnzbd running?

Re: NzbToMedia -> Python3

Ah, Synology ... no that is not a great platform to test-use python3-sabnzbd.

Re: NzbToMedia -> Python3

I tried to call the script via .sh to use Python3, but it seems that Sab forces Python 2.7 nonetheless. If true, that is interesting (and annoying). EDIT: I verified with SABnzbd 2.3.9 (thus running python2), and let SAB run a python3 post-processing script, and that worked perfectly: python3. So I...

Re: Upgrading to Fedora 30 broke my Sabnzbd

If you're using the standard SABnzbd version, you must use python2 (aka python), but NOT python3

Re: Downloads stopped at 9%

Do the official test download:

In SABnzbd's upper right corner, click on the wrench symbol ("Status and interface options"), then click on first tab Status, and there click on "Test download" 100MB or 1000MB.

What is the result?

Re: Python not found but it's there

Is this on Windows? If so, which Windows exactly? Because " Microsoft Store" sounds Windows-S-style.

SABnzbd on Windows brings its own python, included in the SAB exe ... so ... no need to install Python at all. It could be a post-processing script or another program that is looking for Python.

thanks - great to be part of this welcoming community. Even if some of the snide comments are annoying
Oh, wait: with "annoying posts" I was referring to "annoying UPLOADS", not your post. So I changed it now. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Noob question - avoiding the dodgy ones

in SABnzbd you can select Unwanted Extensions, and the fill out "EXE".

That feature is especially for annoying uploads like this.

Re: External Access on custom Domain doesn't work when running as service

OK, then even further back-to-basics: Check on which IP address SABnzbd as a service is listening: As admin run CMD: C:\>netstat -aon | find /i "8080" TCP 127.0.0.1:8080 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 13868 So, yes on port 8080, but on IP address 127.0.0.1, which is local only. So ... what does your Windows sh...

First things first: can you access SABnzd, from your phone on 4G (not Wifi), on your public IP address?

Re: Computer specifically for sabnzbd

And which one of the three: the Celeron, the i3, or the flat box? It depends on the fiber/dsl/cable linespeed you have, and the download speed you want to achieve. FWIW: I just bought a Gigabyte GB-BLCE-4105 PC/workstation barebone J4105 ( with a Celeron CPU, see https://www.gigabyte.com/Mini-PcBare...

Upgrading my Ubuntu worked, Python updated to 2.7.12 in the process.
Cool! I love it when a plan comes together. :)
