Re: Run SABnzbd+ 0.5.0Beta6 daemon at startup on Ubuntu 9.10 64bit
You got my advice already, but chose not to follow it. That's fine, but I can't provide support for init scripts other than the one shipped in the package (and used as part of it). Just too many things people can do wrong and not enough time to fix all that.

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+
Nice . Report this as a bug in the beta releases forum; be sure to include logging excerpts just like you have here. If you need a b5 (or rc2) package for comparison or further investigation, drop me a pm.

Re: Run SABnzbd+ 0.5.0Beta6 daemon at startup on Ubuntu 9.10 64bit
Your post indicates a mixup of package and source installs, making it hard to give any detailed advice. Best would be to purge any installed sabnzbdplus packages (apt-get purge ), remove any manually installed startup hooks, and then proceed the easy way to run the very latest version of sab at any ...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+
Question though, am I able to revert back from the latest beta6 of 0.50? I'm getting very unstable behavior that requires me to physically stop sab (via kill -9 id) every morning, as it just locks up during the night (I download 3-9am) and obviously this isn't ideal. I dont know if its sab of my in...

Re: Startup Daemon
[...] trying to change that to use the start-stop-daemon as I am wanting to use some PID tracking for monit. 1) Careful: with -d, the program forks in order to run in the background while start-stop-daemon only sees the initial instance (=different pid). A possible workaround finds the pid using pg...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+
a) It seems to crash every so often, with or without downloads in the queue. b) If I change the categories the downloads belong to, they are sent to the last place on the queue. c) The pages seem to load really slow now compare to when it was on the previous version before 5. When I check the...

Re: [Linux] download directories dont save
if i change them in config then restart the server they stay as i have set them, but only revert to defaults if i restart which leads me to believe sabnzbd loads before the drives are mounted correctly. Logic dictates two possible fixes: mount the partitions timely (by adding them to /etc/fstab - g...

smpl missing date information for completed jobs
Please include the date for completed jobs rather then just the time (in the "Completed at ..." line). Found myself looking for that info, another interface (classic) did have it but couldn't find this little piece of useful info anywhere in smpl. Thanks.

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+
Right now that doesn't look like anything packaging related.probedb wrote:I've posted another bug over here.... https://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?to ... icseen#new
Basically it starts and crashes after 30 seconds to a minute or so. 0.4.9 was fine :/

(0.5b1) Req: sort languages alphabetically
If possible, please make the language selection dialogs in the interfaces alphabetically sorted. Currently, it isn't causing anybody trouble with just five available but when the number of translations grows it could easily become messy.

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+
Now that 0.5 has finally reached public beta, the start post and the package itself are about to be updated as well. Most importantly: Templates changed: smpl is now the default/fallback interface; the former "Default" is now known as "Classic" and available as sabnzbdplus-theme-...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+
Do you want to add a warning to your first post so other users don't make this mistake? Creating a list of common errors is a long term, low priority item... Would it be possible to package SABnzbd+ with multi-core par2 instead of the single threaded version. It is available here: http://chuchusoft...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+
Setup looks good, and with 0.0.0.0 networking shouldn't be the problem. Partitions/discs that aren't available on bootup? Encrypted homedir? USB drives that only get automounted after login?menders wrote:It starts up fine if I run /etc/init.d/sabnzbdplus start after the system has booted.
