Re: sabnzbd and apache2
Don't use this particular setup, you'll end up running an anonymous proxy. Use this setup: http://sabnzbd.wikidot.com/howto-apache BTW: this was only tested on Ubuntu. well that link didnt work either....or the procedure. First off you need to load Mod_Proxy and co... I *think* these LoadModule pro...

Just done a standard install and popped the text at the bottom of httpd.conf ProxyRequests On ProxyVia On Order deny, allow Deny from all Allow from all order deny, allow deny from all allow from all Prox...

Re: TUTORIAL: Securing SABnzbd+ behind lighttpd authentication
Superb, almost just what I was looking for (Lighty and SAB) - could you do a version for that? ie Same without authorisation? Or is it just "ignore the Mod_Auth stuff" and thats it?
Anyway, great "How To".. thanks very much!

Any idea of the scale of these? Might be academic as I might switch from a NAS to a PC for SABnzbd use but it never hurts to know!

Re: nzbdStatus: SAB Control & Monitoring and NewzBin Integration
I have a reproducable problem with this extension with 1.01 that I never had (or never noticed) in earlier versions. Using FF3 final now (and obviously was using beta v3 before). Go to newzbin.com (or binsearch.info) and try to download an NZB file manually. It fails to download anything. If I have ...

Optimize for Speed?
I know I am not the only SAB user who runs it on a low power NAS box (or tried to). Recently I have found it less stable but that might be due to dealing with larger file downloads so I switched back to a PC which has miles more CPU power but uses miles more electricity! :( I'd tried Hellanzb which ...

Re: SABnzbd web interface remote access
Gave up on idea of using NAS to wake PC... So I am back to running SAB on the NAS box (Linkstation Live) which is struggling to max my connection.. I can get around 1000k/s but no faster. It would be nice if there was another 10% of so speed to come with SAB optimisations but SAB has been so tweaked...

Re: SABnzbd web interface remote access
You guys are something!! It's so pleasant to have Devs who are so in touch and helpful to their users. My Linkstation does run Apache so it looks like ModProxy MIGHT be the answer. Have to admit I am confused by those links but I'll persevere! If not as long as I can get some sort of web upload work...

Re: SABnzbd web interface remote access
Shy, thanks for such a speedy response I can't do that as I cannot get files to the blackhole on the NAS from work but I can remotely execute a script from work via the port 80 website on the NAS which could/would wake the PC. Then as long as I can access the SABnzbd interface I can send files etc t...

SABnzbd web interface remote access
Not sure if this is the right place to be asking.. but I have to start somewhere. First, restrictions. My workplace only allows me to use default web ports, so I cannot type http:/www.sample.org:81 at all. I cannot use FTP from work. I need to run a Linkstation on my network 24/7 for hosting a websi...

Standby

Re: RAR > PAR > RAR first
It could, but we also need some attention for "nicing" the par2 process, because you will still have problems when a repair is needed. CPU usage can be regulated, just set SABnzbd's CPU priority lower than that of MediaCenter. Actually, the most worrying part is that it is (on Windows at...

Re: Sort by NZB size?
You know more than I do, I don't remember it implementing a sort-by-size function in Beta4. However, I just added it to go into Beta5. Thanks, I'm impressed with how you guys listen to users but I am even more impressed with the program, I don't think I could go back to Newsbin or another NZB-usene...
