Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

was happily running until earlier today when I ran 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade', receiving 0.4.7.  Now, I receive this when accessing sabnzbd's web server: Be sure to restart the program after upgrading - otherwise, you might end up mixing the program and interfaces from different version...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

Unfortunately the key isn't working in my case. When I apt-get update, I get: W: GPG error [...] NO_PUBKEY 4874D3686E80C6B7 That public key belongs to the "banshee-team" repository, also hosted at ppa.launchpad.net. Existing users of PPAs will get warnings like the one you posted, until t...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

Version 0.4.7 has arrived, the sabnbzdplus package has been accepted into Ubuntu's official repositories, and meanwhile the operators of the Launchpad PPA service have been making some changes of their own as well. As a result, the instructions in the start post have been updated; for existing users...

Re: Good news: SABnzbd in Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04)

on 2007-04-03 I asked for SABnzbd in Ubuntu. Three years later it will be there ...  :P Actually, that makes it less than two years to date, with the project being effectively unmaintained for about half of that period plus being a challenge with regard to licensing. Not too bad, I'd say. 2) You ha...

Re: Script to Convert img to iso (Linux)

There's 'ccd2iso' (and similar apps like nrg2iso) to handle conversion to iso. For detection of the file type, other than simply guessing by extension, you might want to try the 'file' utility.

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

The daemon was working fine but http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/ threw up an error page. [...] I was able to connect the browser with http://[::1]:8080/sabnzbd/ not that I understand this link. I then configured my host to 0.0.0.0 which allowed me to connect in the browser with the standard 'localhos...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

For a really "fresh" user of sabnzbd, you should add a notice that when trying to run as a daemon (using the script provided), the url to connect is http://hostname:port/sabnzbd/ I'll expand the init.d related info a bit. I bet you ran into the infamous empty page after forgetting about t...

Re: Video_TS to ISO

Since an iso file is just an entire filesystem inside a file, on a linux or unix system the thing can be mounted like any other filesystem using something along the lines of " mount -o loop ", where is an existing (and usually empty) directory. After that, normal file operations can be use...

Re: Return value zero when aborting startup

Filed as ticket #216 . Would it be useful to return an error message in the exit return code as to why sabnzbd needed to quit? (But still just 0 on a planned exit). Thanks. The main issue is to be able to determine that this exit is not what the user intended and expected (i.e. a successful program...

Return value zero when aborting startup

The program exits with a return value of zero despite hitting a serious problem with the log dir setting causing it to abort startup. As a result, an init script or any other program trying to start the program as a daemon will wrongly indicate a successful startup. Offending code is here (from SABn...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

jrebeiro, thanks for your report. I guess it's clear by now how the program creates its directories relative to the location of the ini unless, as Rascalli already indicated, an absolute path is given. That "/etc" remains in the web interface imho is not a bug: this is useful information t...

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

0.4.6~rc2 0.4.6 final is on the way, package changes compared to 0.4.5: Made init.d script also accept nonexistent ini file (allowing the program to create it in the given location). Added support for jaunty (ubuntu 9.04). Very early ubuntu alpha release testers: enjoy and let me know all bugs. ;) ...

Re: Vista users: free downloading!

Hate to burst the bubble, but this teredo stuff is just another way of setting up an ipv6 tunnel. Just like 6to4 (which also doesn't require a tunnel broker) and 'real' tunnels such as sixxs. Difference being that it can be setup without much/any configuration and doesn't require a publicly routable...

Re: Video_TS to ISO

Creating a script that does this shouldn't be too much work, assuming your device runs some flavour of linux or unix. Check the mkisofs command.

Re: (Unofficial) Ubuntu repository for SABnzbd+

Where cherrypy is serving the program's web interface is completely unrelated to the news servers being on ipv4 or ipv6.
