Re: a formatted file to import/export News Server Settings
Nice idea, but I'd rather use XML format. OK. Can you explain why XML is better in this case? More formatting / checking? One side effect that I do worry about is security. Currently, both the web UI and the API do not send passwords, but asterisks. So currently there is no way to get at any passwo...

a formatted file to import/export News Server Settings
Hi, How about a file to import and/or export News Server Settings into SAB? It should be a universal format, that can be used by all newsserver providers and newsserver clients. Reasons: 1) I run SABnzbd on different machines (netbook, laptop, desktop) each with a few newsservers. I find it annoying...

Re: Sab randomly changing local listening port!
And what does "ps ax" show? Or better: "ps ax | grep -i sabnzbd"?
Are you on Mac or Linux (or ...)?

Re: Sab randomly changing local listening port!
My first guess is that you start up SABnzbd several times: as the second SAB instance find the normal port in use (by ... the first instance of SAB), it hunts another port. And so on. So: if you turn off your computer, start it again, and then start SABnzbd, on which port is it? Later on, how do you...

Re: 0.6.0 BETA2 - Unable to set Max Speed in Google Chrome
Has already been discussed (search this forum). Workaround: use Chrome 10.Redmist wrote: Windows 7x64 Google Chrome 9.0.597.98
When clicking on the Max Speed dropdown, it disappears as soon as the mouse moves making it impossible to type anything in the max speed box. Works fine in IE8.

Re: Suggestions for a good USENET provider
If not: 2.50 Euro per month: http://www.lightningusenet.com/ Any experience with this one ? As I never heard of it. I'm using it (next to ipv6.xsnews and newszilla6) and it seems quite nice. No line speed, though: I seem to get 6 Mbps or so. But not fully tested. For 2.50 Euro you get 30 days of ac...

Re: 060b2: Win7 service starts webbrowser, with incorrect URL
There is still no server defined in your INI file. Did you go through the full Wizard? Did you test server settings on the Wizard page? Did you reach the Wizard restart phase? After the restart, did a server show up? Ah. Strange. :-( Yes Yes Yes Yes Now the good news: it's working. I did a lot of t...

Re: 060b2: Win7 service starts webbrowser, with incorrect URL
More strange Windows stuff: I did a clean install of Win7 in Virtualbox, downloaded and startet beta3. I started sabnzbd-console with -f c:\downloads\settings\sabnzbd.ini, went through the wizard, stopped SAB, and c:\downloads\settings\sabnzbd.ini was there. However, after starting SAB with the same...

Re: Anyway to prevent unpacking of rars/zips in the main rar/zip?
Easy: put something in the download queue, and then while still downloading, on that line, in the third dropdown (saying "+Delete), select "+Repair" (or even only "Download").TheGlow wrote:
Is there a setting to only unpack that main file or is this a side effect?

Re: Suggestions for a good USENET provider
I'm using astraweb, but it seems they're deleting what I'll call the important downloads for my media center. Does anyone know of any USENET providers that don't sway to the whims of Hollywood? Free: xsnews via IPv6. Test if you have IPv6 via http://www.appelboor.com/ipv6.html and/or http://test-ip...

Re: 060b2: Win7 service starts webbrowser, with incorrect URL
D*mn: the auto-browser with the faulty URL is back again. Is the INI file complete? It should contain at least one server definition. Yes, there is a newsserver, I'm able to change settings, and those changes *partially* 'survive' reboots: I've change all folders settings c:\Downloads\... . That wo...

Re: 060b3 Plush: Dowload overview too wide (b2 was good)
I went to chrome://settings/cookiesView (in Chrome 10), deleted the localhost and localhost6 cookies, and everything looks good on Beta3.shypike wrote: Please remove all SABnzbd related cookies from your browser.

060b2: Win7 service starts webbrowser, with incorrect URL
I installed 060b2 as a service on Windows 7. The service auto-starts, so that's good. However, it also auto-starts the webbrowser interface, with an incorrect URL: http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/apikey=234d948b87e254e0a2e86703c1blabla. http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/config/switches/ -> "Launch Br...

Re: SAB downloads failed due to missing repair blocks & possibility to recover data
@nzbtuxnews: I went to binsearch.info, created a .NZB for s01e03.720p.hdtv.x264-ctu, downloaded it (1GB), and everything went OK. So: what happens if you do the same (= creating and downloading only one episode)? If that doesn't work, I guess your newsserver hasn't got the post, and there's is littl...
