Re: Too many connections error with Cheapnews backup
I've disabled NNTP scanning. Thanks for the tip. So far so good - not getting any Cheapnews errors since I changed the IP address. I'm a little confused about the whole missing articles thing. As far as I know these servers are from different backbones. When a download has a lot of missing articles ...

Re: Too many connections error with Cheapnews backup
I changed the host to the IP address. I'm trying a download that I know has missing articles and so attempts to reach the backup servers. I'm not seeing errors in the Queue like I saw before and I am seeing intermittent connections to Cheapnews. When I test the server while the download is running I...

Too many connections error with Cheapnews backup
I subscribe to three servers. My default is NewsDemon, and I use both Astraweb and Cheapnews as backups (by giving them lower priority). Except that Cheapnews constantly gives me a "Too Many Connections" error when SABnzbd tries to use it. I never get that error with the other servers. I'v...

"Cannot create directory" error message on Windows USB drive
I keep getting the error message "Cannot create directory E:\Downloads\incomplete" when there is no download activity. E: is an external (detachable) drive connected to a USB hub. SABnzbd never has a problem writing to the drive during an actual download. What is SABnzbd attempting by acce...

Re: External internet access
I just upgraded to 1.1.0 and discovered that I needed to make changes to the General settings to enable Web access from other computers on my LAN, plus API access from NZB.su: Host: Change from 127.0.0.1 to empty (blank). This change was needed to enable the Web interface on other computers on the L...

Re: 0.8.0 Betal 1 File Renaming Not Working
I'm having the same problem, although it's intermittent (doesn't happen to every file). I've sent an example via email.

Re: Crashes?
changed the refresh rate. I've not had a crash since. I was experiencing the same problem. Recently upgraded to Windows 10, starting having problems with high CPU usage and lots of Chrome crashes. I isolated the problem to SABnzbd (0.7.20). Changing the refresh rate from the default 4 sec to 30 sec...

Re: Open ports,
Sorry, to clarify, when you access SAB you need to use the IP address of your router, on the external network (the WAN) not the internal IP address.
So if your router address is something like 999.999.999.999, you'll access SAB with http://999.999.999.999:5555.

Re: Files simply disappear after downloaded...
So yes, the files were written to /Volumes/Media 1/Volumes/LaCie Mac/downloads/complete, where "Media 1" is the internal drive and "LaCie Mac" is the name of the external drive. This folder is aliased to /Volumes/LaCie Mac/downloads/complete, which is where I had configured SAB t...

Re: Files simply disappear after downloaded...
Having the same problem. PowerPC G5 Mac 0S/X 10.4.11 (Tiger). SABnzbd 0.6.8. Worked fine for a couple of weeks but now downloads to an external USB drive are disappearing. Downloads to the internal drive work fine but there's not a lot of room on that drive so need to get the external drive working....

Sorry, didn't mean to single you out. In general SAB provides great support. I was just venting my frustration after many lost hours of working with this beast.
