It's none of the above. Gmail, at least, requires SSL/TLS. I'm guessing (just a hunch) that SAB doesn't support SMTP over SSL yet. If not, that needs to be fixed. Is there anything I can show you guys so you can point me in the right direction for trouble shooting. You could check your SSL speed in general.
