Old 2010 Mac finally died so I moved to an M1 iMac running OS X Monterey 12.1 and find myself unable to launch ANY version of SABnzbd+. Tried the current stable (3.4.2) and beta (3.5.0RC4) as well as a few older versions and I can't get it to load. Guessing it's a sandboxing/security issue peculiar ...

Currently running 3..4.0RC1 without issues, but the build for the MacOS app of 3.4.0 final is now incompatible with older operating systems. I'm running Sierra, 10.12.6 and can't run the app, which has been built to require 10.13 or later. Guessing and hoping this is a mistake, as 3.4.0RC1 has no is...

I think something has changed with the MacOS build between 3.4.0RC1 and 3.4.0 final. I'll open a new thread for this, but support for older operating systems (I run 10.12.6) has also disappeared. I'm guessing the app has been built a different way.

And it's working for me, too! Launched, connected on every test I tried, unpacked - did everything it should. I'll keep running it and see if any issues pop up.

I identified 3 changes in the macOS specific Python packages. That should have no issue running 2.3.6 Beta 1 Is your version of macOS 10.12.6 up to date with all the patches and security updates? You could also try shutting down sab, then trying a fresh copy of the DMG from here: https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/releases/download/2.3.6Beta1/SABnzbd-2.3.6Bet...

Just tested 2.3.6 Beta 1 on 10.9 through 10.14 in VMs in VMware Fusion as well as on 10.12 as the host OS on a mid-2012 MBP and it launched just fine on all of them. What mac model do you have? I wonder if it's an issue with an older CPU on a mac which still happens to be qualified for current vers...

Not just running it, but also connecting via SSL to newsservers etc.

Can't launch that version either. Errors out, giving an option to either launch the console or terminate.

Running 10.12.6 (Sierra), I'm unable to launch the app. Reverted back to 2.3.5 and all is fine.
