Re: High Memory Usage / Potential Memory Leaks Investigation Thread

I doubt this fully accounts for the memory leaks, but SABNzbd+ leaks a lot of file handles, at least on Windows.  If you open Task Manager's 'Process' tab and add the "Handles" column, SABnzbd.exe sometimes has 20K-50K open file handles, even after all downloads are finished.  Handles see...

Re: High Memory Usage / Potential Memory Leaks Investigation Thread

Could we try to ask for help from some python expert somewhere out of the community.

Maybe someone is willing to help us out in this issue.

Re: High Memory Usage / Potential Memory Leaks Investigation Thread

@Sander tell me one thing, is the 500111 the lowest value which gave you the stability or did you tried to test the lower values like 400111 or 300111 or even 200111?

Re: High Memory Usage / Potential Memory Leaks Investigation Thread

@sander, could you test the same nzb but with caching enabled in the sabnzbd.ini, it would help a lot in finding the reasons behind the leakage, would you experience the same leak or will it be much faster, higher and more extreme. Use cache_limit=150M or cache_limit=50M Also it would be good that w...

Re: High Memory Usage / Potential Memory Leaks Investigation Thread

SAB's mem usage is still going up (now at 1370 MB, see attachment), but alas one parameters (REAL mem) is missing (or: at 1 MB). I haven't got remote access to my machine at home, so I can't check right now what's going on. I'm sure its leaking and not usage, also in 4 of 13 sab will broke or freez...

Re: I wish to start this thread because I think its time that we start finding....

Its important that we test with huge downloads, because of a few reasons, file size of each rar should be big, in the case of nzb I linked it has 480mb files, which means that we will make sab in environment which is not below the normal cache size of sab engine. The second thing is that I saw very ...

The conclusion:
