Re: 30%+ Failure Rate (CRC/PAR) but Retry works

I'm thinking the problem is not in SAB, but on the newsserver side; if a message is missing, but in a retry it is there, that's a newsserver problem (or it's too new). The method to determine this: check your log file for the article number. (If you have 'grep', it's easy). Lower newsserver connecti...

Re: 30%+ Failure Rate (CRC/PAR) but Retry works

A few remarks: There are a lot of missing articles in your pastebin paste. If you retry (and it works), does the log show the same missing articles? If not, the articles are suddenly there, apparently. So: do you download too new posts which are still being uploaded? Does your brother have an extra ...

Re: 30%+ Failure Rate (CRC/PAR) but Retry works

I guess it's an older and somewhat slow system. If the pause-download solves the problem, I would leave it like that. Given the speed of your system, parallel download and post-processing might be slower than working sequential. Shy, the AMD Sempron 3000+ is a 1600 / 1800 / 2000 MHz processor. I'm ...

Re: Sabnzbd+ randomly quitting on OSX

See log below, it always just stops working while decoding. *filenames changed 2011-10-15 21:02:45,580::INFO::[assembler:85] Decoding /usr/share/sabnzbd/Downloads/incomplete/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.r11 yenc 2011-10-15 21:04:56,561::INFO::[__init__:838] Saving data for totals9.sab in /usr/share...

Re: Sabnzbd+ randomly quitting on OSX

I am having the same problem. I am running 6.9.0 on Arch Linux. It will run for a day sometimes, maybe 10 minutes, maybe an hour. The logs show that it stops after decoding with yenc. I have tried rolling back yenc and still getting the same result. I would do this: run sabnzbd / sabnzbdplus from t...

Re: Does the log show repair failures?

I've deleted that nzbd and downloaded a different one. The failure said that it couldn't repair it. Don't recall the exact wording but it wasn't much more than "didn't work" or I would have copied it. Wait until the problem occurs again, and then copy-paste the exact error message into th...

Re: Does the log show repair failures?

I'm having an issue with a file that I downloaded. I'm completely new to Sab but I've gotten two files to download -- using SickBeard + Sab. Well, one to download and one to fail. I tried to repair the failed download and it failed. And what did SABnzbd say in the WebGUI? What was the error message?

Re: Question on using multiple servers in sab

If I read http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-servers-v2 , I don't think Optional does what you want.

But anyway: why not try the setup you describe?

Re: FWIW: NZB with .SFV gives problem, without .SFV all OK

PS:

The resulting file names contain non-US-ASCII characters. Maybe that's the cause of the problems?
When I run cksfv -g on the .sfv file, it reports "Errors Occured"

Still I think SAB should not bail out; I was able to download the full download with nzbget.

FWIW: NZB with .SFV gives problem, without .SFV all OK

FWIW: I have no idea if this good behaviour and as expected, or something to look at: I created a NZB on binsearch including a .SFV file. Trying to download that, SAB says " PostProcessing was aborted (see logfile) ". See logfile snippet below, with error message "UnicodeDecodeError: ...

Re: NZB's not accepted

This was both the webinterface and blackhole, and started working after I re-saved my settings and disabled my prequeue script. Strange thing is that this prequeue script accepts everything it gets (thats a bug on my end), and the Sab debug log also indicated it was accepted. Does it happen to all ...

Re: encrypt passwords (ie. ng server & EMAIL!) in sabnzbd.in

OK, done. @shypike: I thought this default *ix rights settings on sabnzbd.ini was discussed (handled?) a few years ago? Or is that what you're referring to in your post? As the owner I changed the rights: sander@R540:~$ ll | grep sabnzbd drwxr-xr-x 4 sander sander 4096 2011-10-12 20:10 .sabnzbd/ san...

Re: encrypt passwords (ie. ng server & EMAIL!) in sabnzbd.in

Hmm. Good point. I just tried on my Linux system, and as another user I can read the sabnzbd.ini with the newsserver password (I have no mail settings, so that is not a problem for me). I'll now change the Linux rights so that the file (or directory) is not readable anymore. So, OP, can you take car...

Re: New Forum System finally launched

@inpheaux, I have a wish: In the "Topic reply notification"-mail itself I would like to see the message that has been posted, and the name of the poster. (Now it's a standard mail with link(s) to the thread.) That way I could already in mail see how relevant the new post is, and it would m...
