Re: How to resume from "too little disk space"

Code for an autoresume function is currently being worked on; until then, resuming requires an explicit action. That action can be a human pressing a button, but also easily be scripted using the api, documentation here.

Re: Error when installing SABNZBD

Stop using outdated ubuntu versions, base your vm on the latest ubuntu long term support release (20.04/focal); Stop using broken instructions from random blogs, follow the ones on the sabnzbd wiki instead; Stop adding broken systemd service files, the sabnzbdplus package comes with a perfectly fun...

Re: Fresh install on 20.10 - won't start, no glitter

Nice to know you did find a workaround. The PATH probably isn't the issue here, that can be annoying but only changes the order and/or locations the os searches when running a program without supplying a full path, e.g. just "sabnzbdplus" (also used by the desktop entry, see /usr/share/applications/...

Re: Fresh install on 20.10 - won't start, no glitter

No idea why rdp would do that. Is /usr/bin "gone" entirely when connected via rdp or does it just turn /bin into a copy of /usr/bin? What if you call sab with its full path /usr/bin/sabnzbdplus? Alternatively, maybe setting it up as a service (add a username in /etc/default/sabnzbdplus so it starts ...

2020-12-27 11:55:49,138::INFO::[sabnzbdplus:1150] Full executable path = /bin/sabnzbdplus It appears the sabnzbdplus executable being run is installed in /bin. That in turn causes the application to not find the interface templates, because the path to those is set in constants.py as a relative pat...

Re: API Changing

The init script isn't the problem, it's strict enough not to randomly select different configs. There's a second mechanism starting sab with a different config but at the same port, most likely a redundant systemd service you added (in /etc/systemd/ or /lib/systemd/) under a different name than sabn...

Re: a little API help?

If you want to avoid the limitation safihre mentioned you could just as well run your script as a cronjob (or whatever scheduler option your os provides). Removing a subset of completed jobs from the history through the api isn't a problem, the only "but" being that this specific subset cannot be do...

Failed to parse newznab api capabilities for http://localhost:9191
Looks like you've entered the sabnzbd details in *arr as if it were an indexer?

Re: API Changing

You'd want to check if the same config file is used (your topic start post mentions '/home/sabnzbd/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini' so you know where to look). As safihre mentioned, you're most likely running two different instances, for example because you setup two different autostart mechanisms and/or combi...

Essential details are missing: the ubuntu versions involved, the error you get, and from where you installed sab (ppa or standard repos, before and after the os upgrade).

Re: NZB Backups by Category?

You can use a postprocessing script to do that. Note that scripts receive a bunch of useful info in the form of environment variables in addition to the 8 command-line params listed, including the full path to the nzb.

Re: how to remotely access sabnzbd running in a VM

For sab to allow external access, the host setting must e changed from its localhost default. Granting other systems access to a service running on a VM is completely dependent on the network settings for that VM, nothing specific to sab.

Re: No cipher can be selected

Re: Dynamic extraction path

The program cannot dynamically generate that path based on some template. If you want the category name as part of the path, simply setup the per-category path that way (in the category settings, obviously).
