Re: 0.6.0 RC2 Category, priority and processing reset on restart/shutdown/startup

This is not sab start/stop, this is system start/stop. No, I did not do any customization other than the one category that I added (see the linked thread with the bug), so I cannot think of any reason why it behaves like this. But, I wonder if the problem is that sab is trying to save during the sys...

0.6.0 RC2 Category, priority and processing reset on restart/shutdown/startup

Windows 7 x64 SP1 0.6.0 RC2 Sab is running automatically. I queue up a bunch of downloads, and I assign a category to each (and processing manually due to this bug ). Then, it seems when I do a normal restart or a shutdown/startup cycle, the settings get lost somewhere along the way, and all of the ...

0.6.0 RC2 Category change does not update "Processing"

Windows 7 x64 SP1 0.6.0 RC2 I set up a new category as such: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/4729/sabcategories.png I double-click a NZB file in the OS, so it gets added in the "Default" category. I open the browser and change the category from "Default" to "dontunpack&qu...

» Failed opening main archive (encrypted or damaged)

Hi there, get this message every now and then even though there is nothing wrong with the archives. It seems to happen with archives that are split to a lot of files, ie: the files are not only in the range of .RAR-.R99, but also continue through .S00-S99 and .T00-T99 or even further. Thank you for ...

Re: Not a feature, more like improvement: zero fill missing parts

Unless you're processing NZB files of dubious quality, you'll seldom come across situations where SABnzbd fails. I seems that it's not (only) about the quality of the NZB file. Did you check the one I sent your related to another thread? I mean this one: https://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=4...

Re: Not a feature, more like improvement: zero fill missing parts

Maybe you're right.
But for some reason I achieve better repair ratio with NOMP+Quickpar combo than SABnzbd.
Thus, there's something fishy with SABnzbd.
If it's not the zero padding, then it's something else.
I leave it to you to decide what your next steps are.
Thanks.

The file names are in fact consistent.
I leave judging the results to you - I assume a bug when I see two different outputs from the same data.

Not a feature, more like improvement: zero fill missing parts

Quite often, SABnzbd tells me that there are too many parts missing and it can't repair the files. What I do in these cases is that I test the files using Quickpar manually, queue up the files in NOMP (NZB-o-Matic Plus), download them and fix the bad files using quickpar. This works in 80% of the ca...

SABnzbd v0.5, XP SP3 » Repair failed, not enough repair blocks (1 short)

It seems that SABnzbd has a wrong check. It says that it cannot repair because it's one block short. Quickpar (using the identical files) says it can repair it. See screenshots.
