Re: Download won't start
I appreciate your help and understand your point, however, if it could have given a "no connection to server" warning, I would not have needed to post the problem on this forum. You can also click on "Test Server" on http://localhost:8080/config/server/ to see whether as server ...

Incorrect (IMH) error message with unbindable IP address
I filled out "2.3.4.5" as the SABnzbd Host, and saved the config. On restarting I get an error (good) which is not correct: SABnzbd.py 0.6.8 SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server. Port 9090 on 2.3.4.5 was tried , but it is not available. Some other software uses the ...

Re: System requirements
I would say this is a Ubuntu question, not a SABnzbd question. So probably better to go to http://ubuntuforums.org/

Re: System requirements
Have you read https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SystemRequirements ? The plain Ubuntu version on a 256 MB RAM system is not going to be useful. You could try the 512 MB system. If that runs Ubuntu OK for you, it will run SABnzbd. But what is the goal of your exercise? And: From which ma...

Re: System requirements
It would help if you told the system specs (RAM + CPU) of your machines, and which Ubuntu version (the plain version thus with X, or the Server thus without X).

Re: ENGINE Error in HTTP server
I just installed SABconnect on my Chromium 12.0.742.112 (90304) on Ubuntu 11.04, with SABnzbd 0.6.8. A few observations, with no webinterface open to SABnzbd, so only SABconnect connecting to SAB: netstat always shows 7+ open connections. the source ports "are changed" with a new netstat a...

Re: Is 300Kb/s slow from downloading from Newshosting.com?
Yes very confusing. So is that fast or slow? Takes about 4hrs to dl a 5G film. Well, first of all, the numbers match: (5 * 1 000) / (4 * 60 * 60) = 0.34 MB/s Your newsgroup dowload is limited by your Internet (DSL/Cable) connection and your Newsgroup download speed. You can test your Internet conne...

Re: ENGINE Error in HTTP server
Looks like you are using SABconnect++ and SABnzbd on the same machine. I think we can rule out SABconnect entirely if you test this on a separate machine. In other words, run SABconnect++ on a separate physical machine or VM and connect to another machine on your LAN that runs SABnzbd. If the probl...

Re: Upgrade 0.6.8 not working for Mac
There's a separate version for "Leopard". Is 10.5.x the same as Leopard? If so, go back to http://sourceforge.net/projects/sabnzbd ... zbd-0.6.8/ and donwload the leopard version.
