Re: sabnzbd and apache2

This is what I have in my Apache 2.2 setup to handle SABnzbd.
Not quite sure which parts are specific for SAB and I may have enabled additional Apache modules.

Re: Fairly Minor Bug with non English Accents

I located the problem, it's caused by the "unrar.exe" program that is used for unpacking. SABnzbd captures the console output of this program and analyses which RAR files have actually been used and can therefore be deleted. The problem is that unrar shows some non-ASCII characters in file...

Re: The Return of setup.py

Next release will have an old-style setup.py again.
(BTW: Setup.py in all previous releases was broken).

Re: Two Things About par2/SFV verifying/repairing

This is indeed on the todo list.
It will take quite some time though.
The idea is to do an on-the-fly par2 verification on each downloaded file and only use the external par2 program if repairs are needed.
Maybe we can sneak in .sfv too.

Re: Fairly Minor Bug with non English Accents

BTW there are some more things wrong with the NZB file. The accented character in the article subject is different from the character in the yEnc encoding. Also, the character ö in the subject is not proper Unicode. Again: interpretation of 8-bit ASCII is dubious. Browsers don't really know what to ...

Re: entry in windows taskbar when starting with windows from startup folder

We had some problems getting the console window to hide properly.
This will be fixed in the next release.

Re: Fairly Minor Bug with non English Accents

If you got the NZB file from newzbin.com, then they have replaced the special character in "Fr÷ken". Newzbin always returns "clean" 7-bit ASCII names. The yEnc embedded name contains a bit of a dubious value 0xF7, which does not have a fixed character representation. Python suppo...

Re: 0.3.0 IPv6 on Vista

We're working on testing this problem.
Fact is that no one in the team has real IPV6 access.
I have applied for an SiXXS account to solve this dilemma.

Re: Crashes at high speeds

What is the "WIP Firefox plugin" and what does it have to do with SABnzbd? Do you use br41n's app version of SABnzbd? If so, please report this problem also on the br41n.com website. The odd thing is that localhost has nothing to do with the download channel. Localhost is only used for bro...

Re: Fairly Minor Bug with non English Accents

I have successfully tested in the past with accented chars, so your report surprises me.
Can you email the "offending" NZB file to [email protected] ?

Also, what Operating System do you use?

Sander,

Looks interesting, good tip for later improvements in the downloader.
If want to, you can send the Perl code to [email protected].

Thanks for your efforts.

Re: Plush - web interface

Bookmark api? Please explain - what are the possibilities? You can bookmark jobs on the newzbin site. SABnzbd will read these bookmarks (from the newzbin site) and start downloading the jobs. This way you can even start downloads from a computer where you cannot reach SABnzbd's user interface (say ...

Re: Pause individual post

Bandwidth shaping on application level is 1) a lot of work (for us) 2) always disappointing. Personally, I have instructed my hardware router to see NNTP traffic as low priority. Never had a complaint from my family members after that (and still get maximum speed most of the time). If you have a sin...
