Re: Optional authentication for servers
Sounds strange: blank fields, but SAB fills out a username/password anyway? Where does SAB get that username/password from if the fields are blank? Anyway: Stop SABnzbd Find and rename sabnzbd.ini on your harddisk Start sabnzbd: it will start the wizard. Fill out the newsserver, and no username/pass...

You must put the .PY extension in your Windows' PATHEXT. Search this forum, and you will find more info.

Interesting (ignoring some of your language). Short: can you post the output of "netsh interface teredo show state" and post it here? And: To see the Teredo Interface in the Device Manager, open the Device manager > View > Show hidden devices > then expand "Network adapters" Long...

You had a modem in 1980?! Lucky you! I only had a casette tape connected to my Tandy TRS80 in 1982. My first modem was only around 1989 or so.airtwain wrote:

Its deployed the same fibre to street cabinet mini dslam then copper vdsl to premises OK, thanks. I find VDSL/FttC a great technology; these are the results from the DSL diagnostics of my modem: current rate upstream: 4104 kbps current rate downstream: 42016 kbps attainable rate upstream: 14511 kbp...

Re: Is 300Kb/s slow from downloading from Newshosting.com?
Thank god for fttc 40Mb now :-) Are you on FttC? Me too! Thanks to FttC, my DSL-connection jumped from ADSL's 10 Mbps (over 4+ km cupper) to VDSL's 62 Mbps (over 0,4 km cupper), which is capped by my 'plan' to 42 Mbps. Which is great. Do you know how your FttC (in the UK, right?) is deployed? Here ...

Are you using SABconnect++?
What does the netstat-command (see my earlier posts) say?

Re: Messages Dropped if Email Fails to Connect/Authenticate
If you want fault-tolerant mail handling, you could install a local mail handler ("MTA") on your Ubuntu machine. I just followed the instructions on http://library.linode.com/email/exim/send-only-mta-ubuntu-10.10-maverick , selecting "Mail sent by smarthost; no local mail", and i...

Re: ENGINE Error in HTTP server
The number of open connections (due to SABconnect) stay about the same on my machine, so the 'real results' must come from the original posters of the problem. sander@R540:~$ netstat -apon | grep -e 8080 -e 9090 (Not all processes could be identified, non-owned process info will not be shown, you wo...

Re: Duplicated my file
On Windows this can happen when you upload a NZB to SAB's webinterface, *and* you have a file association for .NZB pointing to SAB.
So:
Which OS are you using?
Do you manually upload to SAB's webinterface? If you don't do that, is there only one copy?

PS: via http://localhost:8080/connections/ -> Latest Warnings -> Show Logging you can open the logging of SABnzbd: look for "timed out" like this one:

Re: Download won't start
I appreciate your help and understand your point, however, if it could have given a "no connection to server" warning, I would not have needed to post the problem on this forum. You can also click on "Test Server" on http://localhost:8080/config/server/ to see whether as server ...
