Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

It seems that everything is fine on 10.6.x but there are repeatable problems on 10.5.x.

I'll rebuild the install and make it require a recent version, maybe 10.6.4 and post the link.

:)

The scripts have been awesome for me, so glad I took the time to put it together.

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

If I knew that the setup works fine on 10.6.x I'll repost it and make that a system requirement, also, if you guys are able and willing to help, we can narrow down which file is causing you issue and maybe we can make a version for  10.5.x.

Interested?

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

n3n and Teszeract, so it was the 'lib' folder that caused the issue... hmm. that narrows it down. I do now wonder if one of the library files are 10.6.x or higher and that is the problem with 10.5.8. I'm curious, why are you running such a relatively old build of OS X anyway - I know I'm always stok...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

Script also caused my mini to stop booting. Needed to reinstall. Please be aware.. WOW - I am proved wrong, and terribly sorry for this inconvenience. I have personally installed it on several computers without issue so was shocked at the news but now this is twice. pulled. I'll continue using it a...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

My how quickly things change - it must have been a LONG time since I've downloaded an MPG file, because the script wasn't set to take an MPG as the source file, lol - a few years about that would have been far more common. The iTunes AppleTV Script Pak has now been updated to handle MPG as the sourc...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

Hi randyharris 2nd attempt also failed: Here's the log output. Sorry but I don't know how to help with this - I'm not a programmer, and I just installed the iTunes Script Pak on my work machine without trouble - it's worked fine on every machine I've run it on. Possibly I'm not aware of the Mac nee...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

Whoopsie ... first time ever I got a failed installation on my mac.  The message was: Install Failed. The installer could not install some files in "/usr/lib". Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. Will head over to the readme file and check out the logs. Update: I see log ent...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

For anybody following this thread. Gotta say - it's been working freaking awesome for a long time now, loving the automated setup. A couple of months ago I switched to a nightly build of HandBrakeCLI for a compatibility reason with certain file types - and it broke my 720P ability for encoding. I to...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

There was a single character omission in the script file which unfortunately made the Primary Device settings in Handbrake not properly set. Should be corrected now. edit: [sigh] sometimes I really just don't understand how terminal is so picky, things work perfectly when tested in terminal but can ...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

The rush job showed... I realized that the script was always trying to create a second copy of the video, this has been fixed, and here is a new build of the new package. In case you're lost in this thread - this new package is NOT AppleTV centric, but rather iTunes centric. You can pick any iTunes ...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

I didn't have the time to really test this out as planned so am posting it with caution. Note that the Tutorial has not been updated, it is geared for the previous AppleTV version. But if you want to give it a try here it is, please PM me if you have any troubles and I'll reply after the holiday wee...

Re: AppleTV Movies and TV Show script for Mac

I've made some nice changes to the script before wholesale redoing it. My wholesale redo will support devices like PS3, Xbox, Plex, etc... In the mean time, given the rise of iPad's and iPhone4's out there, I have changed the script from being an AppleTV centric script to an iTunes centric script. T...

Re: 0.5.3 RSS feed categories not working

I'm having assigned categories to rss feed issues as well, I think it is using the last category in my dropdown list instead of the one which is specified.
