use python 2.7.7, it comes with a much newer version of openssl.

Yes, that's because SABnzbd cannot decode RAR5 files on its own yet. if you see above, the release is in rar4 format. i thought it was a rar5 thing at first.. why i checked both.. turned out its a pre-check bug. hence my github issues report *update* i see you must be talking to the original poster...

Yes, the API key handles everything for you. You do not need your user/pass. With reverse proxies (without a port), you will have to wait for the next update, unfortunately.
